Abstract: A rotary stage assembly includes a platform and a rotary drive defining an axis of rotation. The platform is mounted on a spindle for receiving rotary movement from the rotary drive. A cylindrical wall is attached to the platform receiving rotary movement from the rotary drive and is coaxial with the axis of rotation defined by the rotary drive. The cylindrical wall defines an inner surface including reference patterns. An imaging assembly images the reference patterns on the inner surface of the cylindrical wall. The imaging assembly detects angular orientation and tilt of the platform from an axis of rotation of the platform from imaging the reference patterns on the inner surface of the cylindrical wall. A controller calculates angular orientation and tilt of the platform from the location of said reference patterns signaled from the imaging assembly.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a running gear having a carrier plate and a first roller, a second roller and a third roller, which are arranged on the carrier plate. Simplified handling and/or increased stability of the running gear is produced if the first roller can rotate about a first rolling axis running parallel to a plane of extent of the carrier plate and the second roller can rotate about a second rolling axis running parallel to the plane of extent and the third roller can rotate about a third rolling axis running parallel to the plane of extent. The invention further relates to an arrangement having at least two such running gears, wherein at least two such running gears are connected to each other.
Abstract: A turn plate assembly for support of the steered wheels of a vehicle on a precision planar surface. The assembly includes an approach plate establishing a planar surface to within an established measurement tolerance. The approach plate is coupled to a base plate underlying a bearing assembly consisting of a plurality of ball bearings retained between the base plate and an underside of a rotating support disc. An upper surface of the rotating support disc is coplanar with an upper surface of the approach plate. Resting on the upper surface of the rotating support surface, a translational surface or mat is temporarily secured in place by magnetic adhesion. During use, translational forces exerted on the translation surface or mat by a vehicle wheel assembly may overcome the magnetic adhesion, enabling the translational surface or mat to translate relative to the underlying rotating support disc.
Abstract: A motorized rotational dance pole assembly is provided. The dance pole can be rotated by an adjustable and controllable motor assembly to provide controlled rotation of the pole at varying speeds. Further, the pole may have a fixed non-rotating mode, as well as a free rotational mode. Operation of the motorized rotational dance pole may be controlled by a remote wireless controller which may be programmable and reprogrammable to adjust operation of the dance pole.
Abstract: A rotatable platter for monitors comprising a platter member fixedly attached to a rotating plate member. The rotating plate member is connected, by way of an annular ball bearing member to a fixed plate member. An opening made through a center portion of the platter member allows for at least one cable to pass therethrough. The cable passes through a hollow opening forming part of the annular annular ball bearing. A peg engaging one of two possible channels controls the degree of allowable rotation of the platter member.

The underlying causes of these sensations are often associated with serious health conditions due to the potential of losing balance and falling as well as formation of blood clots in the legs that can lead to premature death. Abstract: A self-balanced adjustable mounting system for a flat panel display. A display interface having a hollow, semi-spherical shell portion is attached to the flat panel display. The semi-spherical shell is formed with a generally constant radius of curvature. The center of the radius of curvature is disposed proximate the center of gravity of the flat panel display with the display interface attached. The display interface is received in a guide structure that has a bearing portion engaging the outer surface of the semi-spherical shell, and a second bearing portion engaging the inner surface of the semi-spherical shell through an aperture formed in the semi-spherical shell. Abstract: A rotary platform includes a rotating top plate rotatable about axis and a stationary base plate fixed in relation to the axis. A plurality of bearing elements is disposed in a cavity defined, at least in part, by the base plate and the top plate. The top plate is supported by the plurality of bearing elements, which are rotatable in any direction and about any axis. The top plate is flexible and flexes independently of the base plate. Abstract: A system and method for inverting a cubical device 100 that inverts one or more faces of the cubical device 100 in a single fluid motion. In an embodiment, the cube faces are split in two face piece assemblies 210, in an alternative embodiment faces have only one invertible section 802, 702. The face piece assemblies 210 are initially held by cubical device 100 with a particular side facing inward. Operating the cubical device 100 causes one or more face piece assemblies 210, 803 to expand out from the center point of the cubical device 100, to rotate, and then collapse inward until cubical device 100 is reformed with the particular side of the faces in an outward-facing orientation. The joints, links and gears in the mechanism restrict the degrees of freedom to one such that the entire inversion movement is coupled. Multiple applications are proposed for the device, and embodiments having actuators for driving the inversion are disclosed.

Rotation of the upper disk can drive the automatic gap adjustor along a threaded support to eliminate a gap along a portion thereof.

Abstract: A combined pad structure contains a disc base and a body. The disc base includes an anti-slid area defined on a bottom end thereof. The lock is manipulated by a button in the base portion that is connected to a rotational pivot that is connected to the lock.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of multi-component spin hardware for connecting structural framing members to other structural framing members while allowing desired portions of the framing members to pivot, selectively displacing the framing members to variable positions. Abstract: A lazy susan type device for holding food items has a top and a base that are snap fit to one another when the device is in use. The top and base can therefore be easily separated from one another to facilitate independent washing of those two parts. The snap fit device is a toroidal ring having multiple flexible “L”-shaped arms secured about the outer periphery of the ring. Each arm is momentarily displaced in a radially inwardly direction when the top and base are in the process of being interconnected to one another. The inherent bias of each arm causes each arm to abruptly return to a position of repose when the top and base are fully interconnected to one another. The displacement of each arm when returning to its position of repose is a radially outward displacement.
Abstract: A multi-axis positioning device adapted to hold and position an electronic device such as a smart phone. Upon insertion of the support shoe into the alignment guides, the cam may be configured to engage the locking tab of the support shoe and bias at least one of the alignment tabs into engagement with at least one of the alignment guides as the cam advances from the unlocked position to the locked position.

Abstract: A foldable and adjustable supporting apparatus is provided, including a base, an adjusting element, a receiving element and a positioning unit. The apparatus provides support to an object, such as, portable electronic device, to stand in various tilt angles. The receiving element is coupled to the base, and can rotate more than 270°. Abstract: Some embodiments of a product display apparatus may provide consumers with access to samples of portable electronic devices while maintaining the security of the sample devices. The display apparatus can present the sample devices in a manner that encourages consumers to view and operate the user interface of the samples even though each sample unit cannot be physically moved from the display apparatus.
