The bearings permit the first swivel plate to rotate with respect to the second swivel plate. A lip is located inwardly from the bearings on the first swivel plate with the lip defining an aperture. An adjustment plate having an outer edge engages the lip. The adjustment plate also includes a plurality of sloped adjustment surfaces which increase in height and which have slots formed in the sloped adjustment surfaces. A plurality of fasteners extend through the slots into the second swivel plate and further engage the sloped adjustment surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6427856
Abstract: A self-centering device for assuring that two plates that are rotatable with respect to one another will automatically align in one of two-stable positions. The device includes an O-ring entrained about two spaced posts located on the upper face of a bottom one of the plates and a roller depending from the bottom face of the upper one of the plates into a circumscribed space defined by the O-ring. When an external rotatable force is applied to the upper plate, an elastic force is applied to the roller such that when the external force is removed, the roller will move into one of the two stable positions.

Abstract: A multi-sided display includes a frame and a display sign housing having at least two display surfaces. The housing is supported on an extendable-retractable base which rotatably supports the sign. The display sign can be rotated when the support base is extended, to display a selected one of the display surfaces. The display sign is supported for viewing of the selected surface when the support is retracted. An electrically illuminated light source within the housing is provided for illuminating the display surfaces. The base is preferably supported for extension and retraction by at least one, and usually two telescoping arms. A pair of slide strips located on opposite side edges of a top surface of the base slidably support the housing. The housing is preferably rotatably supported on the base by a central bearing. A latch mechanism is actuatable to release the cabinet for retraction, and after retraction, for rotation.

Abstract: An engaging and sliding portion (21) having a substantially inverted-U cross sectional shape is formed in a lower base (11). An upper base (13) is arranged via an engaging and sliding portion (21) of the lower base (11) and a first rolling member (23). A sliding portion (25) having a substantially U cross sectional shape and engaging with the engaging and sliding portion (21) is formed in a holding member (15). A second rolling member (27) is provided between the sliding portion (25) of the holder (15) and the engaging and sliding portion (21) of the lower base (11). A recess (13a) is formed at a position of an adhered portion of the holder (15) in the upper base (13). A position of an adhered portion in a seat main body is formed in a substantially linear shape. • Patent number: 6343773
Abstract: A support structure includes first and second support members which are interlocked with a body. The second support member is placed in a die such that a hole of the second support member is located at a predetermined position and the body is placed on the second support member. The first support member is placed on the body such that apertures of the support members and an opening of the body are aligned. A shaping pin is then advanced toward the first support member in alignment with the predetermined position so that a shoulder of the shaping pin extends into the first support member. The shaping pin continues to advance through the first support member until a portion of the body extends past a surface of the second support member, thereby joining the first and second support members and the body together.
