Abstract: A variable-speed coring tool kit for coring vegetables and fruits is provided which includes a decorative stand for charging and removably storing a decorative handle of a coring tool until needed for use. The tool handle and stand together form a decorative display. The tool handle is hollow and has an exterior surface constructed to resemble an oblong vegetable. The handle houses an implement locking mechanism, a three-speed D.C. motor and a rechargeable battery for powering the motor. The stand includes a compartment for receiving a battery charger and a retractable reel of electric cord. Cavities are formed in the stand for receiving the coring tool handle and various coring implements to be used with the coring tool.

Abstract: A retracting device to hold a knife block on a barbecue grill has a telescopic rail, a bracket and a cylinder. The barbecue grill has a base, a grill and two wing shelves. The telescopic rail is mounted on the base. The cylinder is secured to the base, and a retractable rod extends from the cylinder. The bracket is attached to the telescopic rail and the bracket and corresponds to a through hole defined in one of the wing shelves. Accordingly, a knife block on the bracket can be lifted to a position where the knives are exposed from the through hole in the wing shelf. The knife block can also be retracted to a position where the knife block with the knives is located below the wing shelf to keep anyone from touching the knives when the knives are not in use.

Abstract: A universal pot and pan lid holder is composed of two cylindrical segments having through aligned circular slots and radial outward projections. The projection of one of the segments passes through the circular slot of the other segment and vise verse. The side edges of the cylindrical segments, which face each other, define an opening between them for access to the interior of the holder. In an assembled state of the segments they form a substantially cylindrical body with open ends and an access opening in the side of the body, so that the holder can rest on a support surface with its lower edge and provide the upper edge for temporary supporting pot or pan covers or lids during cooking. The diameter of the cylindrical body should be smaller than the diameter of the lids to be supported.

Abstract: A knife rack to attach to a freestanding grill is made of metal plates comprises a front piece and a rear piece. The front piece includes a base, a vertical face and a horizontal face. Both the horizontal face and base are perpendicular to the base and extend to the rear piece. The rear piece is positioned under the horizontal face and includes a rear face with a top edge, a bottom edge, two sides, two parallel wings extending from opposite sides toward the front piece, a top lip and a bottom lip. The top lip is attached to the horizontal face. The bottom lip extends away from the front piece and has multiple holes so screws can fasten the bottom lip to a shelf of a grill. Multiple blade slots are defined through the horizontal face to hold the knives.

Abstract: A knife stand is comprised of a cover plate and a container shaped main body. An upper aperture of the main body is covered with the cover plate. Insert slits are provided on the cover plate to insert a base part of knife holders into the main body. At least one or more holder parts are provided on a bottom face of the inner main body to fix and hold a base part of each of the knife holders after said knife holders are inserted into the main body. Slot shaped insert parts are provided on the knife holders, respectively. Both a blade part and a grip part are inserted into the knife holders by turning the whole edge of the blade downward. Similarly, both a blade part and a grip part are inserted into the holder by turning the whole edge of the blade downward as well. Each holder parts and the main body are integrally molded with plastic. The holder parts are provided on the bottom face of the inner main body.

Abstract: A heat-drying device of a knife holder includes a heat-generating member installed in a knife groove base of a knife holder consisting of a front shell and a rear shell and an upper cover having a plurality of insert holes for knives to insert. A knife groove base with open knife grooves are fitted in the shell body and has a pull-push water-collecting tray provided at the bottom. A fundamental base is positioned under the shell body and is collapsible for convenience of being placed on a flat surface or on a table. The heat-generating member is installed in the knife groove base and a cement resistor or an electric-heating tube or an electric-heating rod can be used as the heat-generating member to generate heat energy for heat-drying the knife blades inserted in the knife grooves.

Abstract: A cooking utensil holder for storing cooking utensils with a waste collection tray and a support structure allowing cooking utensils to be oriented in a substantially vertical position and positioned above the floor and within the walls of the removable waste collection tray. The support structure has at least a first and a second utensil opening with the first utensil opening narrower than the second utensil opening and sized to maintain a knife in a substantially vertical position with the handle end pointed away from the waste collection tray. The second utensil opening is wider than the first utensil opening. At least one waste run off opening is provided in the bottom of the support structure and sized to allow liquid and solid waste to collect in the waste collection tray without clogging the waste run off opening when cooking utensils are stored.

Abstract: A universal pot and pan lid holder in the form of an open-top cylindrical body having at least one portion of its cylindrical side wall removable for access to the interior of the body from its side. The diameter of the cylindrical body should be smaller than the diameter of the lids to be supported. The removable portion has on its outer surface radial outward projections. For use as a lid support, the holder is placed onto the table or counter top with its open side up, the removable portion is removed from the cylindrical body and is placed onto the table or counter top, using the aforementioned radial projections as supports for the removed portion. When necessary, the hot or fatty pot or pan lid is placed during cooking onto the open top side of the cylindrical body with the internal (pot or pan covering) side of the lid facing up. Since the internal side of the lid faces up, dripping from the lid to the support surface is completely prevented. The cylindrical side wall may have two removable portions.

The upper portion of the utensils is supported by an elongated “C” shaped member, horizontally positioned and mounted to an upper end of vertical supports mounted to the base, providing upright positioning for multiple utensils during food preparation.

Abstract: A rack for the storage of cutlery. Cutlery is attached for storage by means of magnets (13) and stop ledgers (12), which work in combination to hold the cutlery securely. The cutlery is held to the face of wedge-shaped protuberances (14) which, in the preferred embodiment, are aligned horizontally, one above the other, with their wide ends facing alternate directions. This positions the handles so they are easily accessible. A rectangular protuberance (16), which also has magnets and stop ledger, is provided for the storage of paring knives and small cutlery such as vegetable peelers.

Abstract: A kitchen utensil and lid organizer. The kitchen lid and utensil organizer includes a base member having a slope in the upper surface thereof, wherein the slope is in the direction of the back edge thereof. The kitchen lid and utensil organizer further comprises two vertical uprights angled toward each other and removably affixed to the upper surface near the rear edge of the base. Kitchen utensils and food items can be placed within the sloping surface of the base. Pot and pan handle lids are captured by the two vertical posts and held in an angled position from the vertical so that condensed liquid on the surface of the lid drains into the sloping surface of the base.

When a knife or other implement is inserted into an entrance opening (61), the adjacent web members (20) are slightly laterally separated but resiliently engage the blade (64) of the knife (22).

The knife holder also includes a knife locking mechanism that is movably engaged with the knife holding block. The knife holding mechanism is selectively movable to alternately: (a) simultaneously lock knives located in all of the knife holding slots so that the knives cannot be removed from any of the knife holding slots, and (b) simultaneously unlock knives located in all of the knife holding slots so that the knives can be removed from all of the knife holding slots.

Abstract: A knife block provided with a blade guide having a clearance through which a blade part of knives is inserted to lead the blade part in a predetermined direction, a holder part to retain the knives engaging the grip part of the knives, a cover part surrounding the circumference of a blade part by forming a holder part on an upper aperture and a base plate on which the cover part uprightly stands with inclination is offered according to the present invention.

Abstract: A holder for releasedly retaining a sharps instrument repeatedly used during a medical procedure. The holder has a support component to support the sharps instrument and a guard component to isolate a sharp tip of the instrument and thereby prevent an inadvertent invasive contact to a care provider. Preferably, at least a portion of the support component is generally complimentary in shape to the sharps instrument, and non-limitedly can be chosen from a generally U-shape cradle or a diametrically diminishing hollow tube wherein the instrument is accommodated during retention. Guard component choices non-limitedly include a replaceable non-coreable wall penetrable by a sharp tip and situated to accept a sharp tip when the sharps instrument is stored, or a holder-housing portion disposed distally from and proximate the instrument support component and within which the sharp tip resides when the instrument is stored.

Abstract: A culinary instrument storage and access device that installs under a cabinet or a shelf. The rack is secured in stowed position by a snap-in latch, which is pulled to release. It is suspended from four swing down hinges installed under the cabinet, which allow the device to be in a down position for access, or an upper stowed position. The device is suspended high enough above the countertop so as not to present an obstacle within the work area even when in the down position. When moved to the stowed position, it can be latched by pushing it back and up into the locked position under the cabinet. The preferred embodiment of the cutlery rack configuration includes a base platform upon which a smaller rectangular knife rack is centrally disposed made of rock maple wood, into which a plurality of slots for holding dinner knives has been introduced. Symmetrically disposed on either side of the cutlery rack are arrays of u-shaped holders for forks and spoons, respectively.

Abstract: A hanger for suspending a plurality of graduated measuring devices comprising a first section having an engaging member thereon from which the hanger is supported, an elongated member on which the measuring devices are suspended and a stop for limiting movement of the measuring devices off of the hanger, said stop located at an end of the hanger opposite the first section and said elongated member operatively extending between the stop and the first section. The hanger is rigidly formed and, preferably, is a one piece structure.
