  • Patent number: 10337814
Abstract: A dearmer positioning system has two assemblies, each of which circumscribes a dearmer's barrel. Each of the two assemblies includes two half rings and a one-piece outer ring. The two half rings are joined to one another to define a full ring having a first central opening defining a first diameter. The full ring has a periphery defining a second diameter. The one-piece outer ring has a second central opening defining a third diameter, and a periphery defining a fourth diameter. The third diameter is greater than the second diameter such that the full ring slidingly fits in the central opening of the outer ring. Threaded fasteners engage the outer ring and extend radially through the outer ring and into its central opening to engage the periphery of the full ring.

Abstract: Adjustable connector for connecting two tubular bodies such as pipes includes an outer sleeve connectable to one body, an elastically deformable inner sleeve connectable to the other body and accommodated within the outer sleeve and a fastening element to fasten the sleeves and the bodies together while causing elastic deformation of the inner sleeve. Overall pressured embracement of said other body by the inner sleeve deformed by the fastening element assures easy and reliable connection of the two bodies, avoids development of damages on the surfaces of the bodies even after repeated fastening and results in stably durable connection of the two bodies thanks to uniform distribution of fastening pressure over the entire portion of the inner sleeve surface.

  • Patent number: 4111575
Abstract: Tube coupling for coupling an inner and an outer tube, wherein the inner tube extends into the outer tube and projects out of the terminal end of the outer tube: a receiving member with one sleeve portion that receives the terminal end of the outer tube to be coupled and another sleeve portion around the inner tube; a split tightening ring is held inside the receiving member, is anchored in the receiving member against shifting around in it and is squeezable against the outside of the inner tube; the split tightening ring has tabs that are squeezed together to squeeze the ring against the inner tube.

  • Patent number: 4085763
Abstract: A quad cane includes a stabilizing device for improving the strength and rigidity of the cane. The stabilizing device comprises a collar having an interior opening therein and a wing screw which is threadably received in a hole which communicates the interior opening of the collar to the exterior thereof. The collar is drive fit over the exterior hollow sleeve of the upper portion of the quad cane in such a way that the threaded hole is located opposite an aperture in the sleeve. By rotating the threaded wing screw downwardly it is possible to impinge against the inner tubular member and immobilize the outer hollow sleeve relative to the inner tubular member of the cane. The stabilizing device is typically used in conjunction with a spring-loaded push button which serves to help adjust the height of the quad cane.

  • Patent number: 4043139
Abstract: A tool for positioning and holding pipe to be laid in a ditch at a desired level while the ditch is filled partially with rock, gravel, etc. The tool comprises a rod located in a tubular member and having a pointed end extending out of the tubular member. The tubular member and rod are movable axially relative to each other. A locking member is provided for securing the rod and the tubular member at a desired position relative to each other. A pipe supporting means is carried by the tool and is fixed in place relative to the tubular member. In addition, a pipe locking means is supported for movement between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the pipe locking means forms an enclosed or partially enclosed configuration with the pipe supporting means for holding the pipe in a position such that its axis is generally transverse with the axis of the tubular member or that of the rod.
