Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for enabling installation of antennas in a cost effective and efficient manner. The methods and systems disclosed herein provide a hollow pole and an elevating mechanism, wherein the elevating mechanism can be used to position antenna equipment located in one or more capsules attached to the elevating mechanism. The antenna equipment may be attached to a removable power source located in the capsule or to a non-removable power source located at the base of the hollow pole. Additionally, the antenna equipment may also be attached to communications equipment adapted to communicate with one or more communications networks. In an embodiment disclosed herein, the capsules may be adapted to rotate around a one or more axis in response to received commands and/or in accordance with instructions stored on a memory module attached to the capsules.

Abstract: A portable mast capable of supporting a payload that can be fastened to and detached from an unsteady, inclined or irregular surface of attachment. The improvements include a tensioning cable which exerts pressure on the base of the mast in opposition to the surface of attachment, a guide protecting the cable from abrasion, means for adjusting and retaining tension in the cable when the mast is fastened to the surface of attachment, a base capable of housing the fastener to protect the fastener from corrosion and tampering, a base allowing attachment to and pass-through of existing cords crossing the surface of attachment, and a base having resilient compression to conform to an irregular surface of attachment while maintaining pressure between the base and surface of attachment created by tensioning of the cable. Also disclosed is a mast with mechanical means for increasing cable tension in order to secure its tripod base to a surface of attachment.

Abstract: A container mixing stand including a base plate, and a first wall and a second wall connected to the base plate, where the first wall is spaced from the second wall for receiving a container between the first and second walls. A tensioning mechanism independent of the first wall and the second wall is positioned adjacent to at least one of the first wall and the second wall. The tensioning mechanism is movable between a rest position and a tensioning position, where moving the tensioning mechanism to the tensioning position causes at least one of the first wall and the second wall to move along the base plate toward the container and secure the container between the first wall and the second wall.

Abstract: A ratchet assembly includes an elongated shaft, a gear housing, a ratcheting member, and an arm. The elongated shaft can have a gear and be supported by the gear housing to allow rotation about a primary axis of the shaft. The ratcheting member can mount in the housing and be biased toward the gear to engage with the gear hindering relative rotation about the shaft axis in a first direction and allowing rotation about the shaft axis in a second direction opposite the first direction. The ratcheting member can rotatably mount within the housing about a second axis. The arm can couple to the gear housing in a first configuration to provide torque to rotate the housing about the shaft axis in the first direction when the arm is pressed downward. The arm can also be coupled to the gear housing in a second configuration to rotate the housing about the shaft axis in a second direction opposite the first direction when the arm is pressed downward.

Abstract: A plurality of tent weight plates are adapted to be stacked one upon another in use on a tent leg and in transport on a cart. A base plate on the lower-most weight plate includes an extension beyond the plates to which a tent leg is secured. The weight plates include a tab matingly received in a track between rails on the cart to prevent shifting of the plates on the cart. The plates also include holes which are aligned when the plates are stacked so as to receive a post through the holes to maintain alignment of the stacked plates in use on the tent leg and during transport on the cart.

Abstract: An antenna holding device for holding test antennas includes a base, a sliding plate, a holding pole, a first driving unit and a second driving unit. The base defines two parallel linear sliding grooves. The sliding plate is attached to the base and is slidably engaged in the two parallel linear sliding grooves. The holding pole is perpendicularly mounted on the sliding plate. The first driving unit includes a sliding block and an antenna pole. The sliding block is slidably attached to the holding pole, and the antenna pole is mounted on the sliding block. The second driving unit is positioned on the base and drives the sliding plate to move relative to the base.

Abstract: A base assembly removably and adjustably receives a tool and includes a base and a wall extending outwardly from the base. First and second openings are disposed in the wall. First and second cutouts are disposed in the wall to receive the tool. A pivot pin is removably received by the first and second openings. The tool is removably disposed on the pivot pin. A locking ring is disposed on the pivot pin. The locking ring is in a locked position to prevent movement of the pivot pin and in an unlocked position to allow movement of the pivot pin, thereby allowing the tool to be easily moved between positions and securely locked in a desired position.

Abstract: An umbrella stand includes a housing and an operation mechanism mounted on the housing. The operation mechanism includes a support frame mounted in the housing and having two receiving slots, two mounting plates each pivotally mounted on the support frame, two pivot shafts each mounted in the support frame and each extended through a respective one of the mounting plates, two castors each rotatably mounted on a respective one of the mounting plates, two mounting tubes secured on the support frame, a driven rod rotatably mounted in the mounting tubes, two pressing plates secured on the driven rod and each pressing a respective one of the mounting plates, and a control handle connected with the driven rod to rotate the driven rod. Thus, the housing is movable freely on the ground by operation of the operation mechanism.

Abstract: The present invention provides a permanent foundation which supports an open flame cooking assembly which includes a collapsible boom support arm which supports a cooking surface or grill which is height adjustable via a winch and heat resistant rope adjustment assembly, wherein the boom is supported by an upright stanchion of varying length which is removably and rotatably coupled to the permanent foundation support assembly.

Abstract: Apparatus are provided that include a pole having a first and second end with the pole being configured to support one or more gaming apparatus. A base is configured to support the pole to hold the pole in an upright position. The base has a front and back end, and is configured to receive the first end of the pole such that the pole is positioned closer to the front end than the back end of the base. The base has a center of gravity that is closer to the back end than the front end such that the back end provides lateral stability to the base. The base can also include one or more retractable wheels movable between a retracted position in which the base is fixed relative to a support surface, and an extended position in which the base is movable relative to the support surface.

A locking ring is disposed on the pivot pin. The locking ring is in a locked position to prevent movement of the pivot pin and in an unlocked position to allow movement of the pivot pin, thereby allowing the tool to be easily moved between positions and securely locked in a desired position.

Abstract: An IV-pole base has at least one blank and one complimentary tab formed on sides thereof. By one approach, this base comprises, in effect, a jigsaw-puzzle piece that can fully interlock with other such bases in a substantially tessellated manner. So configured, a plurality of IV poles having such a base are easily interlocked with one another to facilitate moving that plurality of IV poles from one place to another. By one approach, the aforementioned blanks and tabs have a substantially circular shape. As one illustrative example, the base comprises a square having two blanks and two tabs, with one such feature formed on each side of the square. By one approach the blanks are formed on sides of the base that are opposite to the tabs.

Abstract: A cable retainer assembly for use inside utility pole base assembly. The cable retainer is anchored to the foundation using the same bolts as the pole base. The cable retainer discourages pole-to-pole cable theft by securing the copper conductor cables to the foundation and pole base plate below the handhole in the pole. Access to the clamps of the cable retainer may be prevented by including a blocking structure positioned between the cable retainer and the handhole in the pole base.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a compact portable lightweight strong umbrella stand that can be quickly and easily attached to different metal objects and that is configured to securely hold a relatively heavy umbrella such as a patio umbrella.

Abstract: An umbrella base comprises one or more identical sector-shaped base boxes that can be filled with heavy filling material (e.g., sand), the identical sector-shaped base boxes are attached to each other and placed on a formation of elongated base members of an umbrella to hold the umbrella in an upright position. When the umbrella base is not in use, the base boxes can be emptied and separated, and the identical sector-shaped boxes may be disassembled and stacked on top of one another. The overall dimension of the sector-shaped boxes when stacked is compact which allows the umbrella and the umbrella base together to fit inside the umbrella package.

Abstract: A foldable umbrella base may include a cross-piece having a ground engaging portion and an upright receptacle configured to receive an umbrella pole. The foldable umbrella base may also include a foldable container comprising a ballast retaining space configured to receive and retain a ballast material. The foldable umbrella base may also include a foldable cover configured to be disposed over the foldable container to enclose the foldable container and cross-piece while permitting the umbrella pole to extend therethrough. A first plurality of retainers may be coupled to a side surface of the foldable container may be configured to receive and hold a corresponding first plurality of rigid members such that the first plurality of retainers can provide structural support to the foldable container, whereby the foldable container can retain a shape upon receiving the ballast.

Therefore, the portable accessory device is adapted to detachably mount at the outdoor umbrella to provide an additional function via the accessory unit for users to have high quality outdoor activities.

Abstract: The invention relates to a support structure for use in supporting a road sign or the like. A longitudinal tubular support member has a uniform cross-section that includes a plurality of circular or part-circular port sections for receiving an end anchorage. Enclosing wall sections extend between the port sections and are shaped to include a concave form so as to promote inward collapsing of the support member in the event of an impact to the support structure.

Abstract: A tent pole anchor apparatus that includes a barrel member and a cover disposed on the barrel member. The barrel member and cover together form an internal chamber that is filled with water so as to provide a significant weight for anchoring the barrel member. The barrel member has at least one drain to enable liquid to be removed from the barrel member. At least one of the barrel member and cover has a passage for receiving an adjustment strap that interconnects the barrel member with the tent pole.

The use of the stand reduces the risk of injury to the user due to improper handling of lit fireworks.

Abstract: An improved, multiple-use fireworks launcher (10) is provided for the launching of fireworks such as an artillery shell (40) having a lower lift charge (42) and an upper effect charge (44). The launcher (10) includes a base (12), with an upstanding, open-top launch tube (14) operably coupled with the base (12). A reinforcing section (16) is positioned about the lower end of launch tube (14), and preferably comprises a tubular sleeve (36) tightly secured to the outer surface (32) of launch tube (14). The first ratchet pawl can mount to the housing adjacent to the ratcheting gear to allow rotation in a first direction and to hinder rotation in a second direction opposite the first direction. The motion translation member can mount within the opening such that rotation of the ratcheting gear can cause a movement of the motion translation member via rotation of the eccentric opening. The ratcheting actuation member can mount to the housing and include a second ratchet pawl.

Abstract: An improved fence post mounting device is disclosed for supporting accessory articles upon a hollow fence post. The device comprises a cap member sized to fit over and upon the open top of the hollow fence post as a cover therefor, an elongated shaft member attached to the inside of the cap member and extending lengthwise therefrom to engage the chamber of the post, and support means coupled to the top of the cap member for holding or hanging the decorative accessories. In one preferred embodiment, the shaft member is fabricated having a pair of flanges formed on opposite sides of an intermediate web to provide a substantially “H” transverse cross section designed to fit closely within the chamber of a rectangular fence post while the full length of the shaft member is able to penetrate the post a sufficient length to allow a sealed fit of the cap member with the top of the post.

Abstract: A support pole with enhanced strength along it's base includes an elongated pole member secured to a mounting plate. A majority of the length of the pole member has a uniform cross-section. Slits are cut into each side of the pole member along its lower end. A mandrel is placed into the lower end of the pole and expanded, thereby expanding the lower end of the pole away from the center and creating a larger cross-sectional area at its lower end. The lower end of the pole is secured to the mounting plate. Reinforcing members are welded over the expanded slits and the bottom of the reinforcing member is further welded to the mounting plate. The lower section with a larger cross-sectional area increases the moment of inertia and surface area of the support pole, thereby increasing the strength of the support pole.

The anchoring device includes a plurality of spacers extending between and connecting the top plate and the bottom plate. Finally, the anchoring device includes an attachment mechanism located on an opposite surface of the top plate as the plurality of spacers, the attachment mechanism configured for removably attaching a pole extending from the anchoring device and connected to an umbrella.

Abstract: Improvements in a mount for attaching a television of projector to an overhead or ground structure is disclosed. The mount allows for spin, side to side and front to back angle adjustment. The adjustment components are formed from the present projector mount uses metal component having a rack comprising a plurality of formed teeth that are engageable in the recessed side of a crosshead screwdriver that is trademarked as a Phillips screwdriver. The recesses of the crosshead screwdriver act as a pinion gear in the rack to adjust the mounted angle of a projector on the projector mount. This configuration reduces parts count, size and cost without compromising functionality. The axis of rotation of both the side-to-side and front-to-back pass through the projector mount.

Abstract: A stackable, collapsible container for flowable materials. The container utilizes an outer container and a flexible inner liner retained by a base, a top and a plurality of support poles. The support poles are retained in a plurality of holes in the base provided with a plurality of wedges to secure the holes against lateral movement. Providing wedges within tapered holes facilitates the compression molding of the depth of holes required for adequately supporting the support poles.

Abstract: A receptacle for secure mail and parcel receipt and storage. The receptacle includes a top which provides a roof for the receptacle, a base, and a housing connected to the top and the base. The housing includes an upper compartment into which mail is first placed, a lower compartment into which mail is deposited from the upper compartment, a front door, located on a front of the receptacle, which is opened to provide access to the upper compartment and through which mail is placed into the upper compartment, a trap door, operatively connected to the front door, in the upper compartment, and an access door that includes a lock. Abstract: A cable marker pole system is described for marking the location of buried utility cabling. The cable marker pole system includes a base for embedding in earth or concrete, and a two-part pole assembly that couples with the base. The two-part pole assembly includes a spring coupling the two pole members to allow the pole assembly to flex if struck. A sign is attached to the top of the pole assembly to indicate what is buried.
