Abstract: A detachable aerial mount for use on trucks having rear view mirror brackets on opposite sides thereof. The mount has a spring-actuated clasping mechanism so that the driver of a truck can easily and quickly remove the aerial and the associated radio from the truck and transfer them to another truck that is to be driven by the driver.
Abstract: A rod-like post of linear configuration is bent near one end thereof at an obtuse angle with the remainder of the length thereof and dimensioned at the one end to be accommodated in an oarlock of a boat. The post has a slot formed therein at the other end thereof extending diametrically for accommodating the bail of a lantern whereby the post supports a lantern in upright position above a boat.
Abstract: A boom for pulling or replacing a submersible pump from a subterranean well. The boom is constructed of a multi-sectional telescopic rod unit mounted vertically to a flanged sleeve base member which fits onto the well casing. A pulley is fixed to the top of the vertical rod, with a winch assembly affixed to the rod member above the base member.
Abstract: A holder or socket for retaining a rod or cylinder has a cylindrical ring with a recess therein and a bolt-receiving plate fitting in the recess with a set screw passing through the ring and the plate, threaded through the plate.
Abstract: An adjustable mounting bracket composed of two strap-like bracket members having elongate concavo-convex ends forming generally oval-shaped cup-like coupling elements disposed in ball and socket-like interfitting relation with the convex side of one element positioned in the concave side of the other element and joined by a fastener which may be loosened to permit ball and socket-like relative angular adjustment of the coupling elements in their lengthwise and transverse directions without relative rotation of the elements and about the fastener and thereby relative angular adjustment of the bracket members. One bracket member has means for attachment to a support and the other bracket member has means for attachment to the article to be supported. The particular mounting bracket described is a generally L-shaped bracket for use as an automobile antenna mount.
Abstract: A miniature magnetic base flagstaff for vehicle bodies comprised of a geometrically configured base plate member to which is affixed an upwardly extending flexible flagstaff appropriate for attachment thereto of a miniature flag of suitable type, and to the underside of the base plate member there is affixed a plurality of geometrically arranged elastomeric magnet members containing a dispersion therein of permanently magnetized ferrous particles which are secured to the underside of the base plate member. Said flagstaff assembly is particularly suitable for use in ceremonial vehicular convoys, such as funeral processions, wherein the vehicles comprising the convoy traditionally fly a miniature flag attached thereto which identifies each respective vehicle as being a unit of the convoy procession and the purpose therefor.
Abstract: A flag holder for boats and the like water craft includes a bracket having a retaining portion and an offset portion, with the retaining portion being adapted for being mounted on a support of such a craft, such as the windshield frame, and with the offset portion being spaced from that support. A bar having the flag secured to one end thereof is pivotally mounted on one end of the offset portion. A lever having a latching indent is pivotally mounted on the other end of the offset portion. A pin secured to the bar is adapted to be received in the latching indent to hold the bar and flag in a vertical position. The holder can be attached to either side of the craft.
Abstract: A universal mounting bracket for attachment to supports of various configurations and sizes comprises opposite side portions integrally joined together at one of their ends and spaced apart at their other ends, said side portions having a plurality of differently shaped and sized support gripping configurations therein to grip different size and shape supports to enable the bracket to be quickly and easily mounted on various supports, and the side portions have angularly disposed surfaces thereon carrying desired insignia, whereby to increase the visibility of the insignia to approaching motorists and the like.
