    Abstract: A mounting bracket for securing a camera or other device to a hollow pole includes an L-shaped member, attached to the device, with a vertical surface that engages the outer surface of the pole and a horizontal surface that rests on the top surface of the pole while a downwardly-projecting member slides into the top of the pole allowing the device to hang stably on the pole during alignment. A bolt passes axially through the downwardly projecting member and engages a gripping member. The downwardly-projecting member and gripping member have mating surfaces inclined relative to the axis of the bolt, so that when the bolt is tightened, the gripping member slides laterally to engage against the inner surface of the pole. A cover plate engages the outer surface of the opposite side of the pole and is secured to the L-shaped to fully secure the assembly.

A fastener engages the compression block and extends from about respective second ends of each wall of the pair of spaced-apart walls and is configured such that tightening of the fastener deforms at least one wall of the pair of spaced-apart walls into engagement with the compression block, thereby providing an interference fit between the pair of spaced-apart walls of the retaining member and the rail.

    Abstract: A plurality of projections of which leading edge is sharp is formed on an outer edge on a flat-plate shaped base plate of a mounting bracket. A washer formed with a plurality of protruding tips of which a leading edge is sharp at its upper rim is integrally formed at a substantially center portion of the base plate so as to protrude downward. A nut is rotatably mounted at a bottom portion of the washer. A frame of an antenna device has a shark-fin shape. A protruding screw protrudes from a bottom surface of an antenna base. When the nut of the mounting bracket is tightened to the protruding screw, a plurality of projection and the plurality of protruding tips sticks into a roof. This provides an antenna mounting bracket that does not wobble even if a shark-fin type vehicle antenna is mounted to a curved vehicle panel.
