The distal end of opposing legs are bent upward perpendicular from the ground or bent upward and inwardly at an acute angle toward the shaft forming handles for rotating the auger into the ground. The transverse legs extending from the elongated support pole provides a base bearing against the ground for increased lateral support. In both embodiments, an extension tube is selectively positioned in either a stowed position or an operative position. In the second embodiment, an auger portion extends downwardly therefrom for insertion into the ground. In the second embodiment, a pair of spaced-apart rotatable handles are provided to assist the rotational insertion of the auger portion into the ground.

Abstract: A stabilizer which has general purpose use but which is particularly well suited for use with temporary real estate signs has an elongated body adapted for pivotal connection with a post for vertical swinging movement. A plurality of flanges or wings are spaced apart longitudinally at an opposite and free end of the body and define flat laterally extending anchoring surfaces. The free end of the stabilizer body is inserted into the soil on forceful downward swinging movement of the body and the lateral anchoring surfaces firmly secure the post against angular movement toward and away from the stabilizer. The stabilizer can be releasably stored in an upright position adjacent the post.

The towel anchor features a removable ground projection centrally located on the clamp bottom lever. The removable ground projection is inserted into the ground surface. The pivoting clamp is pivoted into a first open position. The beach towel is inserted into the pivoting clamp. The pivoting clamp is released and clamped on the beach towel in a second closed position via a spring bias.

Abstract: A sign post system includes an elongated slide spike, and an impact anvil mounted to the slide spike at a location intermediate the spike ends. An elongated slide hammer column assembly slides onto the slide spike to contact the impact anvil while using the slide spike as a guide to deliver a force to the slide spike to drive the slide spike into the ground. A hollow sign post structure is configured to slide over the slide spike and cover at least a portion of the slide spike above the impact anvil, the slide spike and sign post configured to support a sign structure after installation. In an exemplary embodiment, the system parts are fabricated of plastic materials.

Abstract: An autonomous remote anchor system for providing an anchor connector to a surface, such as a ground anchor for an unattended ground sensor is disclosed. An inflatable positioning structure is inflated and configured to orient an anchor assembly in a vertical orientation with respect to the ground or surface upon which it is disposed. Upon vertical orientation, an actuator in the anchor assembly, such as a voice coil, is energized and drives a hammer element that is slideably disposed in the housing, striking the upper surface of the anchor. The drive cycle is repeated, driving it into the surface until the depth of penetration is sensed by a load sensing element.

Abstract: Herein described is a post anchor apparatus and methods of use in erecting and anchoring posts in natural terrain. The apparatus of the present invention provides a convenient means of erecting a post in natural terrain while also providing improved strength, stability, and durability to the post. The apparatus comprises at least a housing for receiving the base of a post, a rod, stabilizer element for stabilizing the apparatus within the natural terrain, and an auger blade for driving the rod into the natural terrain.

Abstract: A post sleeve installation assembly includes: an elastomeric sleeve core shaped to form a post sleeve when positioned in uncured concrete, a removable stiffener inside the core, an aperture extending lengthwise in the stiffener, a locking element positioned within the core, and an assembly plate coupled to the stiffener. The assembly plate clamps to a prefabricated sleeve element, with the core and stiffener positioned within a post cavity of the sleeve element. an installation stake is positioned in the aperture and prevented from sliding upwards by the locking element. A release point on the assembly plate permits an operator to release the locking element for removal of the stake. To install a post sleeve, the operator positions the installation assembly, clamped to a prefabricated sleeve element, in a post hole with the stake resting on the bottom, then fills the hole with concrete, manipulating the stake to position the assembly.

Abstract: An accessory attachment system for securing a dish such as a water feeder as well as a hook for hanging various items to a stake. The accessory attachment system generally includes clamp member adapted to be removably secured to a stake. An attachment member is provided which is secured at a first end to the clamp member. A second end of the attachment member includes a hook member for suspending a hanging plant as well as a horizontal portion adapted to retain a dish member thereon via use of a dish mount member. A dispenser holder extending from the dish member may be utilized to support a dispenser such as a bottle, which will automatically feed the dish member with its contents due to force of gravity.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a mounting rail for a solar array support structure that includes a main body having a top and a bottom, the main body extending from a first end to a second end, the main body including a dual web having a first vertical element and a second vertical element. Further, the mounting rail includes a solar panel mounting portion extending along the top of the main body, the solar panel mounting portion configured to secure the solar panel to the mounting rail. Finally, the mounting rail includes a first flange extending from the bottom of the first vertical element, the first flange including a first pair of holes configured to receive two ends of a U-bolt, the first pair of holes spaced apart substantially equal to a width of a horizontal rail of a solar array support structure.

Abstract: The present invention provides a stabilizer for a hunting stand, which is suitable for use with a ladder stand or a freestanding hunting stand. The stabilizer incorporates two upright members, longitudinal rungs, and a female threaded member joined to the base section of each upright. The stabilizer levels the stand by the use of threaded rods that are inserted into the upright members and are rotatable in the female threaded member. Support plates are hinged at the base of each threaded rod. Typically the stabilizer includes a connector atop each upright, such as connection tubes or swaged connection sections. A stabilizer for and freestanding hunting stand incorporates a first upright member with a connector such as a connection tube or a swaged section at an upper end of the upright member with a nut at the lower end. A threaded rod is rotatable in the nut and is connected to a support plate. Ladder stands incorporating the stabilizer are also disclosed.

Abstract: A mobile beach storage pole includes a cup holder attached to the upper section of the pole and a storage basket attached to the middle section of the pole. The cup holder may be formed to include a cavity for receiving ice or an insulator material to keep the beverage in the cup holder cold. The basket attached to the middle section of the pole is preferably rectangular in shape and may include a lid which may be lockable to secure personal items. The lower section of the pole is tapered to facilitate insertion of the pole into the ground. A solar battery is attached to the upper section of the pole and is used to power or charge a light or an electronic device. A hook is provided to provide additional storage capacity for items such as towels, apparel or other items.

A mating member provides a cooperative latching structure and slides on the main shaft between raised and lowered positions. In the other of the raised or lowered positions, the second latching structure is non-latchable with the first latching structure such that the main shaft is disabled from driving the ground fastener.

The flat plate may comprise the thickest and most rigid metal, whereas the post receiving socket and/or the blades may be made from a thinner and/or less rigid metal.

The lock assembly selectively cooperates with the ground member to secure the clamp body and structure engaged therewith relative to the ground member. In a preferred embodiment, the clamp body cooperates with a rail of a goal assembly to prevent tipping or movement of the goal assembly when the lock assembly is engaged with the ground member.

Abstract: A holder for the sound-box of a pot call for a wild turkey comprises a mass-producable unitary synthetic resinous trough having a generally cylindrical shape and a coaxial U-shaped channel in the trough, the channel being wide enough to snugly removably hold the sound-box. The trough is removably mounted on a vertical mounting post projecting axially, vertically from a two-piece or two-strut stake the lower end of which is pointed so that it can be pushed into the ground at height not higher than that of a hunter's fingers when he is seated. Two embodiments are provided: (i) the lower strut may be retracted fully into the upper strut; (ii) the upper end of the lower strut is slidably inserted into the lower end of the upper strut and locked in position in a T-slot.

A method of using the anchoring device, where the support dowel is placed generally vertically in the ground, the umbrella stop is placed over the end thereof and slid so that the wider surface is at ground level and the narrower surface is below, and an umbrella is placed over the support dowel, with the end resting on the umbrella stop.

Abstract: The garbage can holder has an elongate, telescoping rod that is staked into the ground. The rod has a sharp, pointed end for penetration into the ground, and a top portion forming at least one eye or aperture through which one or more steel or plastic hoops are looped. The hoops, which have locking ends, can be wrapped around garbage containers and then secured around the containers via the locking ends in order to stabilize the containers in an upright position, thereby tethering the containers to the stake so that the containers do not tip over or blow away in windy or inclement weather.

A method for installing a support into the ground includes placing a first plate on a second plate, the second plate having an attachment for attaching the second plate to the ground, and utilizing the first plate and the second plate to drive the attachment into the ground. The first plate and the second plate are joined so that first and second plates may rotate relative to each other to properly orient the first plate.

A distal end of a delineator extractor may be positionable in a delineator conduit. Upon the delineator extractor engaging the delineator conduit, a user may activate a slide hammer of the delineator extractor to amplify a force applied by the user to assist in extracting the delineator conduit. A delineator extraction system may include an installer couplable to a distal end of an outer conduit of a delineator extractor. The installer may function to install or extract a delineator system.

The drilling device typically has a first end, at which a point is located and a second end which is connected to a first end of the tube. The apparatus also includes an insertion bar having a first end inserted into the tube and a second end at which a latching device is located. The latching device can set a location of the insertion bar with respect to the tube so that a height is set. The apparatus may also include a first pole receiver connected at the second end of the insertion bar. The apparatus may include a handle which can be inserted into the insertion bar for rotating the insertion bar, tube, and drilling device to drill the drilling device into the ground.

Abstract: A beach umbrella stand is provided including a foot operated drive assembly. A pole of a beach umbrella stand has a hollow interior portion housing the foot operated drive assembly. The foot operated drive assembly includes a ratchet assembly operated by a foot pedal. The ratchet assembly further includes an auger mounted at least partially within the pole, for driving into the sand. The ratchet assembly is positioned for operation of a pedal by a user's foot.

Abstract: An extended length strand take up device is presented that may be used to repair damaged guy wires in the field. The invention comprises two connecting bodies connected by a single tension rod that extends continuously between the two connecting bodies. Each connecting body slides over opposite ends of the tension rod and is held in place by a stop member, such as threaded nuts screwed onto the respective ends of the tension rod. The connecting bodies may further include an inwardly-facing pull tab or tabs that can be used for pre-tensioning the guy wire. An alternative embodiment of the invention comprises a single tension rod that is fixedly anchored to the ground and several connecting bodies that are fixedly mounted along the end of the guy wire at standard increments. The tension rod runs parallel to and overlaps the end of the guy wire. The connecting bodies slide along the length of the tension rod until the required tension and length is reached.

Abstract: The invention relates to a drilling/clamping device including a base body which can be extracted from the shaft or rod, provided at one end with a drilling head actuated by means of an electric motor housed inside the base body. The base body also includes means for coupling to the shaft or rod, provided with means for actuating an electrical contactor element in order to actuate the electric motor. In addition, a rising/falling pivoted connection is provided between the coupling means and the base body, such that, when pressure is applied to the rod or shank the coupling means move axially and abut against the contactor element associated with the electric motor, thereby starting the electric motor.

Abstract: A device installed at the base of a vertical post used to stabilize the post in an upright vertical plumb condition and prevent the post from leaning. The device is comprised of a flat base (1) manufactured in two halves so that when placed together has a geometric shape opening (3) of the same size of the post the device is to be installed around. The device base contains multiple secondary penetrations (2) of the cross-sectional shape of the anchoring stakes (9) to be used. The device is installed at the post base (8) by placing the two halves around the post and joining together at along a common line (5). The two halves are affixed together using a mending plate (7) and screws (6) or other type methods not shown. The anchoring stakes (9) are then inserted through the secondary penetrations (2) to affix the device to the ground.

Abstract: An improved bow holder is comprised of a bow cradle, at least one extension member and a base. The bow cradle is comprised of a body, a guide and a limb rest. The guide receives and holds the limb of a bow and is attached to the top of the body. The limb rest is comprised of a pair of extension arms pivotally attached to the body, upright arms projecting from each extension arm and a stop. The extension arms and upright arms securely hold the lower limb and cam of a bow. The base is comprised of a stem for insertion into a ground surface and a pair of pedals for applying ground insertion force to the stem. The bow cradle is attached to the base, or if a higher bow holding position is desired, an extension member.

Abstract: A method for reinstating a pole standing in ground comprising, abutting an inner surface of a sleeve against an outer surface of the pole so as to have a lower portion of the sleeve penetrating the ground and an upper portion of the sleeve projecting above the ground, and sliding a secondary member against an outer surface of the sleeve so that the secondary member locates against the sleeve and projects above the ground and into the ground, wherein the construction is such that the sleeve and secondary member located against the sleeve jointly form a bridging beam incorporating a box section reinforcement of the bridging beam. The formation of this box section substantially improves the strength of the bridging beam above what would be expected from the strength of the individual components.

Abstract: A barbecue kit includes a threaded rod having a bore in its interior along its longitudinal axis. An elongated stake having a sharp and a blunt end loosely fits into the interior bore of the threaded rod. The combination of rod and stake include a functional mechanism for allowing the threaded rod to act as a slide hammer to drive the stake into the ground without allowing the rod to fall along the entire length of the stake. A grill having a handle includes a plate with a substantially circular cut-out. The distance and configuration of the cut-out and handle are dimensioned in such a way that the grill can be hung at any place on the threaded rod with the circular cut-out engaging the threads. A pan suitable for holding items to be cooked, or charcoal, or like fuel suitable for cooking, has a like handle which is nevertheless removable and reversibly mountable on the pan. The pan can be similarly hung on the rod either with its hollow or with its substantially flat side up on the threaded rod.
