  • Patent number: 9788657
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a chair tray and chassis, chassis forming method and chassis mounting structure of the same. The chair chassis comprises a chassis body that is arranged with a mounting hole thereon for mounting a regulating knob. The edge at the position corresponding to the mounting hole of the chassis body is arranged with a flange. The structural strength and the fatigue strength of the chassis can be enhanced effectively by arranging the flange at the position corresponding to the mounting hole of the chassis, which avoids the occurrence of fracture at the perimeter of the mounting hole of the chassis during use or test and thus enables the thickness of the chassis to be reduced below 3 mm, reducing production material to a very large extent and saving production cost while also ensuring that it can pass the back pad fatigue test in the BIFMA standard.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides novel methods of producing a composition, such as, but not limited to, a polyimide composition. The methods in their most general form comprise providing a workpiece, suspending the workpiece and subjecting the suspended workpiece to processing such that the workpiece undergoes a transformation from a first state to a second state. By maintaining the workpiece in a suspended state during processing, processing-related defects are reduced or eliminated. Using such methods, the present disclosure provides compositions that are have no or reduced processing-related defects. In addition, the compositions are more consistent in chemical and physical properties and are cheaper and more economical to produce (since less product is rejected as unsuitable).

  • Patent number: 4838510
Abstract: Seat mounting, especially for office chairs, having a frame attachable to the lower side of the chair and provided with a pivotal holder for the back-rest and a pivotal holder for the support column of the chair. Secured between said holders and said frame are gas springs counteracting pivotal movement of said holders and, when actuated, permitting said holders to be pivoted. To actuate said gas springs an operating member is provided which is rotatable in opposite directions and also is vertically movable. Upon rotation of said operating member in one direction, one of said gas springs is released to permit pivotal movement of the associated holder. When said operating member is rotated in the opposite direction, the other gas spring is released to permit pivotal movement of the associated holder. When the operating member is raised, both gas springs are released to permit simultaneous pivotal movement of the back-rest and the seat.

  • Patent number: 4786106
Abstract: A rocking chair has an aluminum frame chair portion that is mounted to a base by a pair of coil springs that provide rocking action to the chair. The springs are fixedly attached to the base and each spring has an outwardly extending portion that is attached to the seat portion by extending into a passage of the chair portion. The outwardly extending portion has a notch, and a set screw extends into the passage engaging the notch to retain the portion within the passage, preventing the possibility of the chair portion becoming separated from the base.

  • Patent number: 4778037
Abstract: An isolator includes a load bearing part arranged for deflection against the action of a series of compression springs and tension springs whose axes are pivotal with respect to the axis of deflection. The arrangement is such that the isolator can operate in a range in which an incremental increase in deflection causing compression of springs is such as to result in an incremental decrease in the restoring force of springs resolved along the deflection axis. The tension springs produce an increasing restoring force throughout this range, and the net result is a load/deflection performance in which a region of zero or near zero stiffness of the entire system, along the deflection axis, is provided, bounded by regions of positive stiffness.

  • Patent number: 4702454
Abstract: A buffer device for use to the seats of vehicles provided with a pair of links arranged parallel to each other between floor brackets and an upper frame of the seat to form a parallel linkage mechanism. The upper ends of the links are swingably attached to the upper shafts and a connector rod are supported by the upper shafts at both ends thereof, so that a second parallel linkage mechanism can be formed by the connector rod and a line passing through the centers of the upper shafts. The connector rod prevents the links from being inclined independently of the other when the links are inclined nearly horizontal, thereby enabling the device to be made stable when the links are nearly horizontal.

  • Patent number: 4699257
Abstract: A variable frequency vibration isolator for isolating vibrations between a base and a load having relative displacement of each other characterized by a pair of coil springs in series with a connector between them. The connector is journally mounted for axial movement in response to spring vibrations. Locking means including a timing circuit for clamping and unclamping the connector against movement, so as to improve vibration isolation at frequencies higher than approximately 2f.sub.n while substantially improving the performance at lower frequencies.

  • Patent number: 4615591
Abstract: The invention comprises a compact substantially frictionless positioning device for guiding the motion of an object accurately along one or two axes. The object is supported on a pair of parallel motion solid hinges disposed either side of the axis of motion, each hinge comprising two flexible arms disposed in one plane. Springs are provided at one end of each hinge arm to permit the movement of the object along the axis and to restore it to its rest position when the displacing force is removed. Preferably the hinge arms and the springs are of rectangular cross-section to confine the motion of the object to one plane without the need for additional guides. The displacing force may conveniently be provided by an electromagnetic drive motor, the stator of which may be mounted on a further double parallel motion solid hinge assembly to minimize the change in the center of gravity which would otherwise occur when the object is displaced.
