A coil spring is housed within the outer tube between a closed end of the outer tube opposite from the end having the sleeve bearing and the end of the inner tube slidably received within the outer tube.

    Abstract: The vibration isolator and camera mount/instrument mount is mounted on a modified helicopter seat and mounting post. The entire mount is attached to the post by a connecting bar which in turn holds the horizontal boom. The boom has an arm attached on one end which holds a ball joint for holding a camera tray and handlebar for a full xyz planar movement of the camera. Between the boom and connecting bar are two opposed air springs which are positioned in a cantilevered format so that any vibration which passes from the helicopter seat to the mounting bar is absorbed by the pair of air springs. The air springs are pneumatic and comprised of an inflatable pair of doughnut shaped structures which absorb the vibration and therefore isolates and stops any transmission of vibrations to the boom. The camera is isolated from the foundation's vibrations. The air springs also function to maintain the boom in the generally horizontal position.

    Abstract: A rocker fixture for attachment to the bottom of a chair seat to provide a swivel and rocking action. The fixture comprises an upright post having its lower end received in swivel manner in the usual center socket carried by the legs of the chair. The upper end of the post is secured to a head bracket which has pivot connection with the legs of a channel, the latter being secured to a plate which is attached to the under-side of the chair seat. A bell crank lever is also pivotally connected between the legs of the channel and has one arm slidably engageable with an extension of the head bracket, and the other arm is acted upon by a spring-controlled member to urge said one arm to engagement with said bracket extension. The rocking action of the fixture works on a counter-balance principle so that weight shifting is required to tilt both to a backward position and forward from such position.
