    Abstract: A heat sink includes a cooling module and an installing assembly for fixing the heat sink on a housing. The installing assembly includes a case, a handle rotatablely fixed in the case and a support including a fixing board with blocks and two brackets. The handle is actively connected with the support. The fixing board is fixed on a bottom plate of the case. The handle includes two bulges. The brackets include two slide openings for receiving the bulges. When the heat sink is installed, the handle is rotated to be vertical, the bulges are out of the slide openings, and the blocks are stuck on the housing. When the heat sink is dismantled, the handle is rotated to be horizontal and the bulges are stuck into the slide openings to resist the brackets, thereof the fixing board being uplifted and the blocks being pushed away from the housing.

    Abstract: An apparatus for sealing a wide variety of vessels and for providing access to the interior of such vessels while sealed. In some embodiments, a sealing apparatus includes a base plate, a cover plate, and a seal that is disposed therebetween. In use on a vessel, when the seal is disposed in a rest position, it covers a vessel-access hole that penetrates the base plate and communicates with the underlying vessel. To temporarily displace the seal, a tube, such as a syringe needle, etc., is inserted through a guide hole in the cover plate. The tube contacts the seal, which forces the seal to move at least partially out of its sealing position. With continued downward movement, the tube enters the underlying vessel so that it can withdraw or add fluid to it. When the tube is withdrawn, the seal returns to its sealing position.

    Abstract: An apparatus comprising only tension-bearing members serves to interconnect first and second bodies and carry both tension and compressive forces between the bodies. A first tension-bearing member, such as a cable, is connected between first and second points of a first body and connected to a first point of a second body at a location along the tension-bearing member between the connections to the first and second parts of the first body. The first tension-bearing member carries tension forces to oppose the first and second bodies from moving together. A second tension-bearing member, such as a second cable, is connected between the first and second bodies for carrying a tension force to oppose the first and second bodies from moving apart. The combination of the two tension-bearing members serves to carry both the tension and compressive forces between the two bodies.

    Abstract: A support assembly for an exhaust system of a motor vehicle is disclosed. This assembly comprises a U-shaped channel bracket adapted to be mounted on the body of the vehicle. A strip bracket is adapted to be fixed at one end portion to the exhaust system and inserted at its other end portion parallel to and between the opposite side walls of the U-shaped channel bracket so as to form two spaces between the other end portion of the strip bracket and each of the side walls of the U-shaped channel bracket. Two vibration absorbing members are inserted into the spaces, respectively, and firmly joined to the side walls of the U-shaped channel bracket and the other end portion of the strip bracket to prevent the transmission of vibration of the exhaust system to the vehicle body. There is a spacing between the other end portion of the strip bracket and the bottom of the U-shaped channel bracket thereby preventing the transmission of vertical vibrations from the strip bracket to the U-shaped channel bracket.

    Abstract: An equipment unit such as the primary pump of a liquid metal cooled reactor is suspended from the reactor vault roof by means of complementary bearing zones formed respectively in top flanges of the pump and in stationary supporting flanges secured to the vault roof. The flexible connection between the two sets of flanges is provided by a flexible ring, the cross-section of which along a diametral plane comprises a substantially circular convex portion engaged in a concave recess of one bearing zone and a portion having a gear-tooth profile adapted to engage in a corresponding recess of the other bearing zone.
