Angular Movement Patents (Class 248/664)
  • Patent number: 4577187
Abstract: A display workstation comprising a display monitor including an image display device mounted on a base by a mechanism permitting adjustment of the angle of tilt of the image display device, the tilt mechanism including a pair of support members upstanding from the base and providing a gap between the display device and the base between the support members. A cable connector housing is releasably retained in the gap between the support members. Individual cables from peripheral input devices extend to the front of and are releasably coupled to the housing, and a further cable is also coupled to the housing and extends from the rear thereof to a separate display control unit. The housing contains circuits providing electrical connection between the peripheral device cables and the control unit cable.

  • Patent number: 4545280
Abstract: A support device for supporting first and second units has an instrument platform having first and second spaced opposite parallel planar surfaces. The instrument platform is rotatably supported for rotation about an axis of rotation. A first joining subassembly pivotally mounts the first unit on the first surface of the instrument platform for rotation about an axis spaced from and parallel to the axis of rotation. A first pair of locking devices lock the first unit in abutting relation to the first surface in locked position and release the first unit to hang freely at various angles with the first surface in unlocked position whereby the first unit is in playing position when the instrument platform is horizontal with the first surface up and in stored position, hanging from the first surface, when the instrument platform is horizontal with the first surface down.

  • Patent number: 4506832
Abstract: An antirotation linkage that allows freedom of angular deflection in two coordinate directions of a first member, for example, a rocket motor nozzle, with respect to the primary axis of a second member, a rocket motor in which the nozzle is mounted for angular displacement of the thrust vector for steering control, but which restricts rotation of the first member about such primary axis.

  • Patent number: 4436042
Abstract: A rotation switching device for a sewing machine having a lock stitching mechanism and an overlock stitching mechanism. The device includes a rotatable operating member and a base disc connected to the operating member and movable in a vertical direction upon rotation of the operating member between a rest position in which the base disc is above the machine mounting surface and an operating position in which the base disc projects downward farther than the feet on the lower face of the machine body. In this position the base disc contacts the machine mounting surface to lift the body of the sewing machine from the mounting surface, whereby the body of the sewing machine may be rotated in a horizontal plane to place either the lock stitching mechanism or the overlock stitching mechanism to a use position.

  • Patent number: 4372180
Abstract: A gear motor assembly is disposed in a support structure in such a manner that it may rotate in a plane perpendicular to the output shaft thereof. Stops are provided for preventing the shaft from turning past a predetermined point. The motor assembly is located in the support structure by a resilient leaf spring which deflects when the stops are engaged.

  • Patent number: 4349173
Abstract: An infinitely variable tilting support mechanism is disclosed for use with a cathode ray tube display unit which enables a particular operator to position the display unit for minimum reflective glare on the face thereof. The display unit is pivotally tilted about its center of gravity in quasi-static equilibrium by a particular circular configuration of one or more rocker elements.
