Abstract: The base pan of a refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump is overlain by a series of assemblies each serially including a grommet, a compressor foot or base and, optionally, a washer or the like. A stud or bolt extending through each assembly secures the respective assembly to the base pan. The grommets are each received in recesses defined by a lip or rim formed on a compressor foot such that the grommets are exteriorly, peripherally or circumferentially engaged by the lip or rim so as to resist transverse motion of the compressor. The grommets are preferably located entirely between the compressor foot or base and the base pan. The grommets have different wall thicknesses at different axial and/or circumferential locations.

Abstract: A device and method for leveling a machine uses a base with a central opening and a bolt detachably insertable through the opening of the base. The head of the bolt will mate with the opening in this base. A nut can then be screwed onto the bolt in order to lock it to the base. Two additional nuts will hold a machine anchor on the bolt. The nuts adjacent the anchor can be vertically adjusted in order to level the machine. Openings are provided in the base for hold-down screws. These hold-down screws can be drilled through the openings of the base into the floor in order to hold the machine in position in final assembly. Before this time, these screws can be drilled into a pallet, shipping crate or other platform on which the machine is to be transported.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a moveable machine foot providing a sealing function between a threaded spindle and a corresponding support plate of the machine foot. Bacteria can be trapped between these two elements, in particular when liquids come in contact with the threaded spindle, drip downwardly and come close to the gap, since these liquids can then fill the gap, with residual contamination being formed in the adjustment range between the threaded spindle and the support plate located next to the floor. It is therefore an object of the invention to prevent the incursion of liquids between these two elements.

  • Patent number: 6311941
Abstract: An anti-tip device for a computer tower chassis. The anti-tip device includes a hub and a base foot that is mounted to the bottom surface of a tower chassis. The hub is fitted into an interior cavity of the base foot and provides the base foot with a foundation around which the base foot rotates. The hub itself is mounted to the tower chassis through a set of pins that ensure that the hub is kept stationary. The base foot includes an elongated foot and cavity for housing the hub. The interior circumference of the cavity includes a number of detents that define positions of the base foot. The hub includes a spring mechanism including a knob that is fitted to snap into a detent. As the base foot is rotated, the rotational force decompresses the spring so that it rides on the outer surface of the interior circumference of the base foot.

Abstract: A foot device for supporting electronic equipment thereon comprises a sleeve having an axial through bole, and a plurality of balls one by one in line provided in the hole wherein the bottom and top balls are extended above the axial through hole. As such, in use, the electronic equipment is supported by the extended ball of the foot device, while not in contact with supporting plane. This point based contact has the effect of suspending the electronic equipment in the air, thus eliminating interference. Further, the vibration generated by the electronic equipment is not absorbed and interfered by the supporting plane, resulting in a uniform transmission of vibration to all directions without damping or interfering for achieving a maximum quality.
