  • Patent number: 11013987
Abstract: A portable information handling system interacts with a game controller through either a direct connection at a wired interface at the sides of opposing controller housings and the information handling system housing or through a bridge having a bridge housing that directly couples to the controller housing as a bridge to the information handling system, such as with a wireless interface. During a sliding coupling motion, pins of the controller housing wired interface move across pins of the bridge or information handling system wired interface. Analysis of the interface signals through a sliding coupling motion identifies the type of controller housing, such as a controller housing with game input devices or with extra functions like speaker audio and supplemental battery power.

  • Patent number: 8695940
Abstract: A mounting assembly is described that has an interface designed to increase the stress margin of at least the module side of the assembly, for example in a liquid filtration module, and to increase ease of assembling its mounting components. The interface reduces the failure of the mounting assembly at least on the module side, so that if failure of the mounting assembly occurs, such an occurrence is less likely to be at the interface and on the module side, thereby reducing the need to replace more complex and expensive components that may be on the module side. Generally, the mounting assembly includes a mounting interface and a mounting bracket connectable to the mounting interface. A retention component is configured to maintain connection of the mounting interface to the mounting bracket.

Abstract: The present invention provides a module used for stacking thin panels that allows for stacking of a plurality of thin panels in the vertical direction efficiently and stably. The module includes a sandwiching support portion, a load transmitting portion, and a positioning portion. The sandwiching support portion sandwiches and supports the thin panel. The load transmitting portion is coupled with the sandwiching support portion, and transmits the weight of the thin panel in the vertical direction. The positioning portion relatively positions thin panels, which are stacked in the vertical direction, in the horizontal direction. The sandwiching support portion includes a lower plate-shaped body and a vertical wall. The lower plate-shaped body is disposed on a lower portion of the module. The vertical wall extends upward from an outer edge of the lower plate-shaped body to form an approximately C-shaped cross-sectional surface in conjunction with the lower plate-shaped body.

Abstract: Disclosed is a holder for a remote control unit of the type commonly used to operate televisions, radios, stereo systems, entertainment centers, and the like. The holder is constructed with “wings” and “stabilizer” structures, orthogonally attached to each other, and with a means for attaching the holder to a remote control. The device, when attached to a remote control, functions to catch the visual attention of a person who may be engaged in searching for the temporarily misplaced remote control. The orthogonal attachment of the wings and stabilizer further serve to give the combined holder and remote control a profile that prevents embedment of the remote control between seat cushions or other crevices normally present in furniture such as couches, loveseats, and recliners. The device further provides varying means by which a user may grasp and operate the buttons and switches of the remote control.
