Patent number: 10927977Abstract: A fastener for communication lines includes a flat metallic body having an opening for a metallic mounting screw. A distal end of the body is configured to capture a line previously installed along a building surface via an adhesive or other non-metallic fastener. A cover has an open top, and a bottom wall having an opening that aligns with the opening in the fastener body when the cover is disposed over the body. The screw is inserted through the top of the cover, and the openings in the bottom wall and the fastener body, to mount the fastener body together with the cover at a position on the building surface where the fastener captures the line securely. The line is thus prevented from collapsing and interfering with responders if the adhesive fails during a building fire. The fastener is concealed by closing the cover top with an associated cap.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2018Date of Patent: February 23, 2021Assignee: OFS Fitel, LLCInventor: Kelvin B Bradley

Patent number: 7622682Abstract: The present invention provides a system of manually linked fastening clips for electrical cables. The manually linked clips are preferably linked to one another by way of a tongue-and-groove joint. Since the clips of the present invention are manually linkable via the tongue-and-groove joint, an installer may manually link electrical cable fasteners into numbered groupings of the installer's own choosing. The tongue-and-groove joint of the clips permits the installer to easily separate linked clips from one another by simply rotating one linked clip with respect to the other. This rotating action quickly and effortlessly disengages the tongue portion of one linked fastener from the corresponding groove portion of the other linked fastener, thereby facilitating the installation of electrical cable. The manually linked clips may be inserted into a clip dispensing sleeve to provide the installer with a continuous feed of cable fastening clips during installation.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2006Date of Patent: November 24, 2009Assignee: Allied Bolt, Inc.Inventor: Glen K.
