  • Patent number: 11199014
Abstract: A construction process for enhancing or repairing a concrete floor structure that includes a carbon fiber grid as a reinforcement component is disclosed. The process includes forming a trench at a top surface of the concrete floor structure, and placing a reinforcement material in the formed trench. Then, a concrete bonding agent is applied into the trench. Then, the trench is filled with concrete. As a result, the concrete floor structure is enhanced or repaired to have at least one additional reinforcement component other than the carbon fiber grid.

Abstract: An overhang bracket has a top member, a side member and a diagonal member. The side and top member may be connected together through a removable connecter. A guardrail post holder allows a guardrail post to be installed at a variety of angles to the top member. Rotating the side member causes the diagonal member to translate up or down the side member. A side member locator extends upwards from the overhang bracket to indicate the location of the side member. A tie rod holder holds a tie rod in an offset position relative to the side member. The side member locator may extend upwards through further parts of the shoring system or bridge overhang structure, for example a floor of a concrete form or rebar. A worker may adjust the overhang bracket in place from a standing position on a supporting structure or the floor of the form.

The ends also include shoulders disposed beneath the rod for abutting engagement with an element upon which the hanger is supported. In use, the hanger is supported on a support element with the rod spanning the element and the shoulders engaged with opposite sides of the element. As thus positioned, loads imparted to the ends apply tension to the tie rod and compression to the support element.

  • Patent number: 3982867
Abstract: For use in establishing the prescribed elevation difference between an adjustably movable deck member and a relatively stationary support member, an elevation gauge comprising a case, a contact carrier disposed in the case and guided for vertical movement, a lead screw for moving the contact carrier, a scale carried by the contact carrier to extend vertically upwardly and to cooperate with an indicator pointer carried by the case to indicated the selected vertical position of the contact carrier, a second contact carrier guided for vertical movement on the case, and a signal device for providing an output when the second contact carrier is in a preselected elevational position relative to the first contact carrier. A plunger coupled to the signal device cooperates between the first and second contact carriers, and the case is adapted to rest on one of the members while the said second contact carrier is adapted to rest on the other of said members.

  • Patent number: 3945168
Abstract: A steel joist formwork and a composite steel and concrete floor structure provided with a top chord, a bottom chord and a web joining the top and bottom chords with the top chord being serpentine shaped like an S or Z and including top and bottom, generally horizontal portions and an intermediate portion integrally connecting opposite edges of the top and bottom portions with the top and intermediate portions substantially being adapted to be embedded in the concrete floor to cause the floor and steel joists to act structurally as a composite beam. Either the web or a leg depends vertically from the free end of the bottom portion of the top chord, and the web joining the top and bottom chords is substantially solid or is, an open web formed of a zigzag bar member. There is also disclosed a building system and erecting method utilizing steel joists spaced apart by spanner bars which also support rigid panels which act as formwork for the pouring of concrete.
