Panel Including Means Or Having Shape To Form Recessed Surface In Major Face Of Wall Patents (Class 249/35)
  • Patent number: 5111628
Abstract: A panel for the construction of swimming pools consisting of a prefabricated structure of reinforced resin concrete, at least one separate reinforcement element 2 corresponding to the height of the panels, the separate reinforcement element 2 comprising a transversal section suitable for defining a vertical gutter formed between two support wings located in one and the same plane, which wings are designed so as to assure the fixation of the element 2 on one of the faces of the structure, the separate reinforcement element 2 comprising a squared edge 2d in its upper part, the vertical gutter of the separate reinforcement element 2 communicates with the squared edge 2d, and the vertical gutter 2a receives concrete over the totality of its height in communication with a series of clamps located in the squared edge 2d of the separate reinforcement element.

  • Patent number: 5074517
Abstract: A flexible reinforced concrete form line is provided which includes a plurality of elongated cuttable strips which are sized and embedded within the textured surface of the flexible form liner. The cross-sectional shape of the strips is substantially the same as the cross-sectional shape of the textured surface of the liner except smaller so that the thickness of the elastomeric material making up the liner is substantially constant throughout resulting in consistent expansion and contraction of the liner during setting of the concrete. The strips can be suspended within the liner during the elastomeric molding process or the strips can be directly attached to the plywood form backing sheet prior to the molding process. The total quantity of elastomeric material making up the liner can be greatly reduced which, in turn, reduces the weight of the overall form.

  • Patent number: 4984764
Abstract: A forming device includes two opposite form boards, an upper fastening unit mounted on the first and second top ends of the form boards, an upper hydraulic drive unit cooperably connected to the fastening unit and a lower hydraulic drive unit mounted on the bottom end of the first or second form board. The fastening unit includes a slide device to permit the first and second form boards to move away from one another or to approach one another. The slide device includes a slide bar fixed to the first or second top end of the form board, and a support bar fixed to the second or first top side. An upper hydraulic drive unit is cooperably connected to the slide bar and the support bar. A lower hydraulic drive unit is mounted on the bottom end of the first or second form board to move the form board relative to the formed concrete. The form boards can be stripped from a formed wall in a proper direction without causing the boards to swing and possibly damage the projecting portions of the formed wall.

  • Patent number: 4881714
Abstract: Concrete molding apparatus that includes an integral lattice frame having a first set of elongated expanses extending in one direction on the frame and a second set of elongated expanses extending transversely of the first set. These expanses define openings in the lattice frame and tub molds are detachably mounted in these openings. In the mounting of a tub mold, a retaining bar structure is provided paralleling an expanse in one of said set of expanses and detachable fasteners distributed along the length of a bar structure detachably fasten the bar structure to the expanse of the lattice frame.

  • Patent number: 4170853
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for forming a pre-set void in a floor, wall or other structural member, to thereby define an essentially integral spatial void or closure therein, which maintains the UL fire rating of the floor or other structural member in which it is positioned, and which may be readily removed, when desired, to define the void, without use of special tools or procedures. The device is useful for defining modular or other openings to receive, for example, insert devices, through which cables, such as power and telephone lines, may be passed from a source, for connection with fixtures, phones and other devices. The device is adapted to be secured to forms, for example so that a material such as cement or other floor, wall or other structural forming materials may be positioned or poured thereon and therearound; the device in such cases may form a preset-sealed part of the structural member, readily available for opening when desired.

  • Patent number: 4145024
Abstract: A form for poured concrete walls includes a plurality of prefabricated, interconnected form panels which are positioned end to end, in two, spaced apart rows to form a wall cavity therebetween. Each pair of associated, opposed form panels has at least two tie bars extending laterally between the panels in a mutually spaced apart and aligned relationship. A pair of mutually parallel and spaced elongate rods are positioned perpendicularly to each of the tie bars and are fixedly attached thereto, and rigidly align and hold the form panels in a set plumb and straight position. One of the rods is shaped for connecting reinforcing mesh thereto, and accurately and positively positions the mesh along a central, predetermined plane between the form panels for improved wall strength, reduced material usage and labor efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4116415
Abstract: A liner for concrete forms and method for making poured concrete walls comprises a liner body constructed of insulative material and shaped for positioning between a pair of interconnected form panels. The liner body has opposing sides, one of which is positioned abutting an interior surface of a first one of the panels. The other side of the liner body as a textured, decorative surface spaced from the other panels, and is contoured for molding concrete poured therebetween. A plurality of similarly shaped liner bodies are placed in a side-by-side relationship along the interior surface of each section of form panels, with the textured surface of each oriented inwardly. Unsolidified cementitous material, such as concrete, is poured into the cavity having a single insert therein or formed between opposing inserts, and is cured to a solidified state.
