  • Patent number: 10903387
Abstract: There are provided an optical sensing assembly, a method for manufacturing an optical sensing assembly, and an optical sensing system. In the optical sensing assembly, a light emitting surface of a light emitting element is arranged in nonparallel to a light receiving surface of a light sensing element. Further, the optical sensing system is formed by the optical sensing assembly and a light guide assembly. Therefore, a distance between light emitted by the light emitting element to a to-be-detected object and light received by the light sensing element is increased, so that optical crosstalk can be greatly suppressed even if the optical sensing assembly has a small size, thereby improving distance detection accuracy.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for simplifying the configuration process of setting monitoring zones for a laser scanner. The method includes activating a configuration mode of the laser and sampling a field of view to establish a frame of reference including the target item to be monitored and other static items present in the field of view. To configure the monitoring zone, an operator may enter the area and sends signals to the laser scanner via a remote controller at a variety of vertex points. The signals for each of the vertex points are thereafter analyzed by the laser scanner to determine positional data and establish the boundaries of the monitoring zone for the laser scanner.

  • Patent number: 10695908
Abstract: An access protection system comprises a first safety sensor, a second safety sensor, and an electronic control device that is in signal connection with the first and second safety sensors. The first and second safety sensors are laser scanners that each form a safety protected field and that each form a first detection protected field in operation and that are arranged such that the first detection protected fields do not overlap at least regionally. The electronic control device is configured to trigger a safety function on a penetration of an object into the safety protected field of the first and/or second safety sensors and to change the operating state of the access protection system when a penetration of the object is determined both into the first detection protected field of the first safety sensor and into the first detection protected field of the second safety sensor.

  • Patent number: 10688535
Abstract: A method of obtaining cullet from a thin film solar module unit is disclosed. The method involves applying a detectable tagging material onto an exposed outer surface of a glass substrate of the thin film solar module unit over one or more electrically conductive contact strips located beneath and visible through the glass substrate. Thereafter, the thin film solar module unit is crushed into assorted module pieces. The assorted module pieces are then sorted by detecting module pieces that include the detectable tagging material and separating the assorted module pieces into a collection of accepted module pieces and a collection of rejected module pieces. The collection of accepted module pieces has module pieces determined not to include the detectable tagging material. Recycled glass is then obtained from the collection of accepted module pieces.
