  • Patent number: 11927276
Abstract: A valve assembly is disclosed, which includes a valve body defining a valve chamber and a moveable member. The moveable member has a valve element at its first end and an armature at its second end. The moveable member is moveable in an axial direction to selectively open and close the valve. The entire moveable member is spaced from the walls of the valve body when the valve is open or partially open. A flexible membrane forms a seal against the moveable member and the valve body to divide the valve chamber into a flow chamber in which the valve seat and valve element are located and a pressure compensation chamber within which the armature is entirely enclosed. A first fluid port is fluidly connected to the pressure compensation chamber via one or more bores in a pressure compensation flow path with at least one opening extending into the pressure compensation chamber at an axial position between the armature and the flexible membrane.

Abstract: A material containing a soft magnetic substance is subjected to a plastic deformation such as a roll processing to obtain a rod-shaped body. Then, the rod-shaped body or a shaped body obtained by processing the rod-shaped body into a shape other than a flat plate shape is subjected to a heat treatment in the presence of a magnetic field. The rod-shaped body or the shaped body is made magnetic-anisotropic by the heat treatment thereby to obtain a magnetic-anisotropic plastically deformed body.

  • Patent number: 8505573
Abstract: An actuator base, bobbin, and pole piece form a pocket for an armature that a flexible membrane encloses to form an armature chamber filled with an incompressible fluid. The membrane protects the armature from exposure to corrosive fluids flowing in a conduit. Conduit flow can be stopped by driving the membrane against a valve seat. Pressure from the controlled fluid in the conduit is transmitted through the membrane to the fluid within the armature chamber so that the armature does not need to counteract force applied to the membrane by the conduit fluid's pressure.

  • Patent number: 8490944
Abstract: An electromagnetic drive for a valve includes a housing and at least one electromagnetic circuit comprising a coil wound onto a coil carrier, a valve closing member, an armature movably supported between a first and a second end position which acts on the valve closing member. A device fixes the armature in a currentless state. A core is disposed at an end of the electromagnetic drive directed toward the valve closing member. A magnetizable reflux device has an adjusting bore and a circumferential recess in an area of the adjusting bore on a side facing the coil. An adjustment device has an adjusting screw and adjusts a magnetic force. The adjusting screw influences a course of magnetic field lines and is insertable into the adjusting bore in a direction of the armature. Supplying the coil with a current moves the armature into the first or the second end position.

Abstract: A micro fluidic device includes a valve/pump-unit with reduced dead volume having a substrate. The lower surface of the substrate includes two micro channels spaced apart by a valve area of the substrate that separates the two micro channels. A flexible membrane is arranged on the lower surface of the substrate facing an actuating element located in a through going cut-out of a cover element. Movement of the actuating element towards and away from the valve area of the substrate causes a pump and/or valve action of the flexible membrane area, respectively, to cause or stop a directed fluid flow between the two micro channels through a channel formed between the valve area of the substrate and the flexible membrane.
