Abstract: A combination flow control and reverse flow check valve provides a compact valve unit for controlling the flow of fluid in a downstream direction and limiting undesired backflow of liquid into a source such as a reservoir. The flow control and reverse flow check valve may be provided as a unitary member having a housing with an upstream end configured for mounting to the liquid source, a fluid conveying channel within the housing, and a check element positioned in the channel between the flow control valve, such as a ball valve, and a seat which is complementally configured with the check element to normally seal against backflow. A blocking element may be provided to prevent interference of the check element with the operation of the flow control valve while permitting liquid to flow in an intended downstream direction.

Abstract: By pouring, by means of pressure, melted liquid of magnesium or magnesium alloy into a hollow portion which is formed using a casting mold, a valve body where a channel groove for hydraulic oil for use in a speed change operation of the automatic transmission is formed. In the above, the channel grove for the hydraulic oil is formed due to a convex portion which is formed on the mold so as to project into the hollow portion. As the magnesium has small heat capacity, variation of the temperature of the mold during the cooling and heating cycle can be suppressed. Moreover, as the magnesium melted liquid has no reactivity with respect to the casting mold, the convex portion is not deteriorated. This allows employment of a mold having a thinner convex portion formed thereon, and therefore formation of a valve body having a narrower channel groove.

In one embodiment, the first pan (10?) comprises a flexible plate-like member configured to engage a sealing face of the second part (50) when in the second configuration and lock in the second configuration in response to a pressure differential across the valve. The plate-like member is sufficiently flexible to conform to a profile of the sealing face in response to a pressure differential across the valve.

Abstract: In a vacuum valve composed of a main valve portion that opens and closes a vale seat in a flow path connecting two ports by a valve member, and an operating portion that performs an opening and closing operation for the valve member, the housing of the main valve portion is assembled by joining the two port members with a cylindrically shaped housing main body formed by a squeezing process for a plate material made of metal, or a ring-shaped material made of the metal. In an end portion of the housing, a flange-shaped attaching portion that is bent inward is formed. The operating portion is attached onto the attaching portion via a ring-shaped supporting seat member. A sealing member is sandwiched between a ring-shaped supporting plate and the attaching portion. Both ends of a bellows are respectively connected to the supporting plate and the valve member.

Abstract: The present invention provides a check device and a check valve equipped with the check device. The check device is made of a hard plastic with slight flexibility to be mounted in a check valve with an annular wall and an opening. The check device has a separating rib, an inner plate and an outer plate on opposite ends of the separating rib. The inner plate has several bores and a first contact face to touch a side of the wall, and the outer plate has a first contact face to touch an opposite side of the wall. A flow is cut off when the first contact face of the inner plate presses the first side of the wall, and a flow runs through the check device when a second contact of the outer plate presses a second side of the wall of the base.

Abstract: A valve body, e.g. a valve body adapted to be disposed in a connector to be connected to a catheter, has an opening/closing part which opens upon inserting a member into the opening/closing part and which closes upon withdrawing the member from the opening/closing part. The valve body includes a main body part made of a silicone rubber and a surface layer disposed on a surface of the main body part. This surface layer serves as a sliding surface which, when a guide wire has been inserted into the opening/closing part, slides on the guide wire. The surface layer is constituted mainly of silicon oxide and hence improves the sliding properties of the guide wire. Thus, the valve body is reduced in the resistance of sliding on the guide wire.
