The aforementioned compounds provide remarkable corrosion protection for ferrous metals. There can be also included in the plastic certain benzotriazoles or tolyltriazoles when it is desired to extend the protection to copper and copper base alloys, and to aluminum and aluminum base alloys. When protection is also desired for magnesium and magnesium alloys with other metals such as aluminum, there can also be included in the plastic sheet carrier an organic phosphate adduct with diethyl amine. In the preferred embodiment, the metal objects to be protected are sealed in an envelope formed of the plastic sheet material.
