Abstract: A tool for grasping outside wall corners for providing a stable support base, and for supporting an end of a carpet stretching machine, having an elongated center section and oppositely facing approximate right angle bends at either end of the center section.
Abstract: A carpet stretcher comprises an engaging head having a number of forwardly downwardly extending prongs set in the lower surface thereof, a knee pad disposed in the rear, and an air cylinder which is substantially hermetically constructed and which has an air inlet valve at one end and a piston rod projecting at the other end. The engaging head and the knee pad are interconnected by the air cylinder. In stretching a carpet, the knee pad is kicked by the operator with his knee. The air cylinder serves to absorb shock and to transmit the knee-produced forces from the knee pad to the engaging head.
Abstract: An industrial robot having several axes of freedom of movement and comprising an operating members supporting arm pivotally mounted at the top of a supporting column for movement about a horizontal axis from a horizontal angular medium position under the control of a linear actuator pivotally connected with one end to the supporting column and the other to the supporting arm. Preferably the linear actuator is an electromechanical jack having a worm and lead nut, the worm being rotatably mounted within an elongated housing and driven by a motor secured to the housing and the lead nut being coupled to an outer tubular jacket.
Abstract: A carpet stretcher device comprising a body case having a handle fixed to the upper surface thereof, an electromagnetic coil axially installed in the body case, a plunger axially slidably fitted in the inner surface of the electromagnetic coil and normally urge rearwardly by a spring, and a spindle fixed to the rear end of an engaging head for engagement with carpets and axially slidably fitted in the front end of the body case, the arrangement being such that upon energization of the electromagnetic coil the plunger is advanced to strike the rear end of the engaging head with its front end.
