Abstract: A system-on-chip semiconductor circuit includes a logic circuit having at least one first transistor with a thin gate dielectric, at least one dynamic random access memory cell coupled with the logic circuit having at least one storage capacitor and at least one thick gate dielectric access transistor, and an analog circuit operable with the logic circuit and the memory cell having at least one thick gate dielectric switched transistor and at least one switched capacitor, wherein the storage capacitors of the memory cell and the switched transistors are of the same type, and wherein the thick gate dielectric switched transistor and the switched capacitor of the analog circuit are made by a process for making the dynamic random access memory cell.
Abstract: A drum drive assembly for cranes which use a load hoist line reeled onto a load hoist line drum to lift loads allows the load hoist line drum to be disconnected from the drum drive motor to permit the load hoist line drum to rotate independent of the drum drive motor. The drum drive assembly comprises one or more motors for rotating the load hoist line drum to either pay out or reel in the load hoist line; a brake for slowing, stopping or preventing the rotation of the load hoist line drum; and a jaw clutch which may be disengaged to permit the load hoist line drum to rotate independently of the motor.
Abstract: A winch is disclosed which includes at least one rope drum about which a rope is slung as well as a transmission which is disposed between the rope drum and a drive motor. The transmission includes a drive shaft, an output shaft and a gear shifting device for different rope speeds. A stop brake is provided for the output shaft of the transmission. The gear shifting device is mounted between the drive shaft and the stop brake and is configured with respect to the output shaft so that it can be shifted from the second gear down to the first gear via a coupling disc which is actuated by a switching piston.

Abstract: A novel compound drum hoist is provided herein. It includes a first or outer cable-spooling drum rotatably and drivingly mounted on a first shaft. A second or inner cable-spooling drum is nested within the first drum, and is rotatably and drivingly mounted on a second shaft disposed at an angle of 90.degree..+-.30.degree., but preferably at a right angle to the first shaft. The inner drum is operable to be rotated while the outer drum is maintained stationary, thereby to spool faired cable onto the inner drum. Substantially simultaneously the outer drum is rotated along with the inner drum, thereby to spool faired cable onto the outer drum. Such hoist is thus suitably adapted to wind long lengths of cable with segmented fairings thereon without any significant risk of crushing the fairings.
