  • Patent number: 10099187
Abstract: A mixing system and method may be used to facilitate mixture of ingredients within a container such as a bottle for baby formula, fitness drinks, medicines, food substances, art materials, and/or the like. The mixing system may include a mixing apparatus with a container engagement component that couples the mixing system to the container, and a mixing component that mixes the ingredients. The mixing component may have a plurality of mixing surfaces arranged to contact the ingredients in a manner that facilitates mixture of the ingredients together, in response to motion of the container. Alternatively, the container engagement component may be omitted. In either case, each of the mixing members may have one or more windows that facilitate mixture of the ingredients passing there through. Two or more mixing members may be connected together via a shaft and may rotate or otherwise move relative to each other on the shaft.

Abstract: Humidifying apparatus includes a body comprising a chamber into which water is supplied by a water tank. An air flow is generated over water stored in the chamber, and a humidifying system humidifies the air flow with water from the chamber. Water in the chamber is irradiated by an ultraviolet radiation emitting lamp. The lamp forms part of a cartridge removably locatable within the body so that the lamp is received within an ultraviolet radiation transparent tube of the chamber. The body includes a plurality of supports for supporting the cartridge therebetween. Each support has a curved track for guiding movement of the cartridge towards the tube, the tracks being shaped to orient the cartridge for insertion of the lamp into the tube as the cartridge moves along the tracks towards the tube.

  • Publication number: 20150076246
Abstract: Apparatus for dissipating a fragrance or malodor eliminator utilizes an infused disc which a user can place in either a rotating or a fixed position. The two states will dissipate a scent/malodor-eliminator at different rates. The disc is mounted on a shaft that secures the disc in an air stream. The shaft defines several positions at which the disc can be placed, as well as structures to retain the disc at a selected location along the shaft. The shaft is part of a support which includes a mechanism for securing the apparatus within the air stream. Air flow causes the disc to rotate and dissipate at one rate or to pass through a stationary disc at a second, lower rate, as a function of the position of the disc on the shaft. A method of imparting a scent or malodor eliminator to air is also disclosed.

Abstract: Humidifying apparatus includes a base housing an impeller and a motor for driving the impeller to generate a first air flow. A nozzle includes an interior passage for receiving the first air flow and an air outlet for emitting the first air flow. The nozzle defines an opening through which air from outside the apparatus is drawn by air emitted from the air outlet. The apparatus is configured to humidify a second air flow, which is emitted from a plurality of second air outlets. The second air flow is humidified with water supplied from a water tank mounted on the base. The water tank has an upwardly curved upper surface. The nozzle is mounted on the apparatus so that the upper surface of the water tank at least partially covers a lower section of an external surface of the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 5851442
Abstract: A button-actuated air freshener in which rotatable within a dome having a vented cylindrical shell is a turret having a central shaft aligned with the axis of the shell and an array of wings radiating from the shaft, each formed by a panel of porous material impregnated with a fragrance oil. Mounted on top of the dome is a spring-biased button operatively coupled to the shaft whereby when the button is depressed, this action causes the turret to spin to create within the shell an air vortex. This vortex acts to volatilize fragrance oil on the surface of the wings to produce an aromatic vapor that is discharged through vents in the shell into the atmosphere of the enclosure in which the air freshener is installed, the aromatic vapor serving to mask unpleasant odors permeating the atmosphere.
