  • Publication number: 20080274248
Abstract: Hot water is pumped by a suction pump and introduced into a carbon dioxide (CO2) gas dissolver through solution flow rate adjusting means and then poured into a bath. The CO2 is introduced into the CO2 gas dissolver through gas flow rate adjusting means, and the quantity of bubbles in an artificial carbonated spring in a take-out pipe is measured. The solution and gas flow rate adjusting means are controlled via a control device using a relationship expression between a preliminarily set quantity of bubbles and carbon dioxide concentration to obtain a desired concentration of carbon dioxide gas in the carbonated spring. Since the carbon dioxide gas flow control means is provided between the carbon dioxide gas dissolver and a carbon dioxide gas supply source, a high concentration carbonated spring can always be manufactured, even if the pressure of supplied carbon dioxide gas changes or membrane permeation changes.

  • Patent number: 7331326
Abstract: A carburetor automatic control system in an engine includes, a temperature-sensitive operating device for operating a choke valve so that the choke valve is opened with a temperature increase of the engine and a governor for opening and closing a throttle valve to maintain a preset rotational speed of the engine. The governor device includes, a stepping motor opening and closing the throttle valve over a range from an idling opening degree to a fully opening degree, and an electronic control unit driving the stepping motor so that the rotational speed of the engine is maintained the preset speed. A relief mechanism is interposed between the choke valve and the temperature-sensitive operating device, the relief mechanism opening the choke valve in response to an intake vacuum pressure within the intake passage when the engine is in a cold state and the choke valve is in a fully closed state.

  • Patent number: 7128036
Abstract: An auto-choke control device maintains good startability at the time of restarting at high temperature without need of a thermostat specific for an auto-choke. An engine temperature detection device is drivably controlled by a control circuit in response to the engine temperature. A switching detection circuit detects ON or OFF operation of a main switch connected to the control circuit. A self-hold circuit automatically holds power to the control circuit when the main switch is changed from an ON state to an OFF state.

  • Patent number: 7104253
Abstract: In one presently preferred embodiment a stratified scavenging carburetor has a scavenging air passage with an air control valve and a fuel and air mixing passage with a throttle control valve, and a lost motion coupling associated with the valves to delay opening of the closed air valve until the throttle valve has partially opened from its idle position to an off idle position and preferably thereafter to open the air valve in phased relationship with the throttle valve so that the valves become wide open at substantially the same time. Preferably the coupling has reels associated with the valve and connected by a flexible cord.

  • Patent number: 6941916
Abstract: An auto-enrichener for an engine, including an enriching conduit for carrying fuel and air to an engine, and a valve disposed in the conduit. The valve is adjustable between at least an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the open configuration passage of fuel and air through the conduit is enabled, and in the closed configuration passage of fuel and air through the conduit is not enabled. The auto-enrichener also includes a thermal expansion element in communication with the valve. The thermal expansion element expands with increasing temperature and contracts with decreasing temperature to activate the valve. The auto-enrichener also includes a heater that hears the thermal expansion element when the engine is operated.

  • Patent number: 6851664
Abstract: A self-relieving choke valve system for a carburetor of a combustion engine automatically opens a choke valve after a successful engine start up and permits the choke valve to automatically close when the engine is shut down. The self-relieving choke valve system is preferably passive in nature and preferably self contained to the carburetor. It has a vacuum motor which preferably receives a vacuum signal from a vacuum source derived from the operating engine to open the choke valve. A lost motion linkage of the self-relieving choke valve system permits the choke valve to fluctuate between a closed position and a slightly open engine start up position without any intervention by the vacuum motor while the engine is being started.

  • Patent number: 6722638
Abstract: A choke valve control system includes a choke-operating lever for opening and closing a choke valve of a carburetor, a choke spring for biasing the valve in an opening direction, and a damper for controlling the opening motion of the valve to a lower speed, when the choke valve is opened from its fully closed position by a biasing force of the choke spring. The choke-operating lever, the choke spring and the damper are connected to the choke valve of the carburetor. In this choke valve control system, the damper includes a damper housing, a rotor, and a damper oil which is accommodated in a sealed manner in the damper housing and applies a viscosity resistance to the rotation of the rotor, which resistance increases as the viscosity increases with decreasing temperature.

  • Patent number: 6672570
Abstract: A variable venturi carburetor for a combustion engine has an uprighted cup-shaped piston head which forms an integral part of a venturi within a fuel-and-air mixing passage carried by a carburetor body, and a needle that projects rigidly downward from the head into a fuel feed passage. The position of the piston head controls air flow by adjusting the air flow cross-section of the variable venturi, and the needle simultaneously controls fuel flow into the fuel-and-air mixing passage at the venturi via obstruction of the fuel feed passage. The piston head and needle move in unison by a flexible diaphragm engaged to and disposed above the head. An atmospheric chamber is defined below the diaphragm and a vacuum chamber is defined generally above the diaphragm. A vacuum passage extends through the bottom of the head communicating between the fuel-and-air mixing passage at the venturi and the vacuum chamber.

  • Patent number: 6592105
Abstract: A temperature compensator for a pressure splitter control chamber has two members which have different thermal expansion rates, and the dimensional changes in these two members caused by temperature change affect the pressure inside the control chamber. The compensator is normally designed so that the control chamber pressure is essentially constant with temperature change, but can be designed to increase or decrease the effect of temperature change on the pressure. This temperature compensator is especially useful in a control chamber used with a pressure splitter which is used as a carburetor compensator. The resulting temperature compensated control chamber allows the pressure splitter to easily be set for use with carburetors jetted for different base altitudes.
