With Actuating Means For Each Couple Patents (Class 269/106)
  • Patent number: 10232898
Abstract: Some embodiments are directed to a clamp assembly for use with an air balancer for clamping a vehicle panel. The clamp assembly can include an upright member and a base member configured to engage the vehicle panel from a first side. The clamp assembly can include a first and third linkage connected to the upright member. The clamp assembly can include a second linkage defining a hook and being connected to the upright member. The clamp assembly can include a fourth linkage connected to the upright member with a lever connected to thereto and configured to rotate the fourth linkage. The clamp assembly can include a clamp member connected to the second and fourth linkages and configured to engage the vehicle panel from a second side. The clamp assembly can include a balance member having a locking protrusion and being connected to the first linkage and the third linkage.

  • Patent number: 6588995
Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining a bitting pattern of a key comprising a housing used for optically outlining at least the profile of the blade of the key so as to form an image. The image is digitized and information created therefrom, including information about the width of the blade of the key at a plurality of selected longitudinal positions along the length to include the width of the blade at the location of at least one cut of the bitting pattern. The information about the bitting pattern of the key digitized can then be used to cut the bitting patten into a key blank. Alternatively, the information can be compared to stored information and the detected width of the blade adjusted at a location of at least one cut to be one of a plurality of predetermined widths from the manufacturer, thereby creating a regenerated bitting pattern of the key.

  • Publication number: 20020093132
Abstract: A clamping frame for a plastic sheet thermoforming apparatus and which is designed for gripping and retaining the peripheral edge of the plastic sheet. The frame includes a pair of pivotally interconnected jaws which are pivoted between open and closed positions by an air cylinder actuator. The actuator is mounted to one of the jaws, and the operative pressurized air is fed to and removed from the actuator via fluid delivery lines which are located within the interior of the jaw to which the actuator is mounted. External air hoses are thereby avoided, and the air streams which flow through the jaw have a cooling effect.

  • Patent number: 4686925
Abstract: An apparatus for repairing boat hulls comprising a rack mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis. A beam is cantilevered outwardly from the rack, and a hoist mechanism is mounted for travel on the beam. A boat resting on a trailer is moved partially within the rack and the hoist mechanism located on the cantilevered end of the beam elevates the boat from the trailer. The hoist mechanism is then moved along the beam to position the boat within the rack. A series of hull clamping braces that are connected to the rack are positioned in engagement with the hull and complement the shape of the hull. The boat is lowered onto the hull braces, and a series of upper clamping braces that are connected to the rack are brought into engagement with the upper surface of the hull to clamp the boat to the rack. In some cases, side clamping assemblies can also be used to clamp the sides of the hull to the rack. By rotating the rack, the hull can be inverted so repairs or modifications can be readily made on the hull.

  • Patent number: 4033569
Abstract: For holding while machining the end enlargement or enlargements of an elongated otherwise thin deformable workpiece, such as a jet engine blade, the lower block of a two-part hinged fixture has mechanically-adjustable stops which predetermine the location of the front edge and front end of the thin portion of the workpiece and has three upwardly-inclined support pins upon which the lower surface of the thin portion rests. An upper block hinged to the lower block contains three downwardly-inclined correspondingly located clamping pins which bear upon the upper surface of the thin portion immediately above the lower support pins. Each block contains horizontally-movable forward and rearward hold-fast pins for the workpiece end enlargements.
