Plural Cam Surfaces Patents (Class 269/199)
  • Patent number: 7644493
Abstract: The application discloses an adjustable head stack comb having adjustable first and second comb plates. The adjustable comb plates include at least one tooth segment which cooperatively form a comb having at least one tooth. The first and second comb plates are adjusted to adjust dimensions of the at least one tooth cooperatively formed by the tooth segments of the first and second comb plates. In the embodiments disclosed, a relative position of the first and second comb plates is adjusted to adjust a thickness dimension of the at least one tooth formed by the at least one tooth segments of the first and second comb plates. Also in illustrated embodiments, the comb plates are cooperatively adjusted to adjust an elevation or z-height of the at least one tooth of the comb.

  • Patent number: 7475663
Abstract: The invention relates to an internal combustion engine (1) comprising a housing (2) having at least one opening (4) into its inside, which is preferably the engine-oil feed inlet, and with a camshaft (5), mounted inside the housing for rotation about its geometric shaft. The camshaft (5) and the housing (2) have means cooperating with each other and with a device for locking a turnable shaft (6) with respect to the housing, insertable through this opening. In a second embodiment of the present invention, the device consists of a rod (6), the cooperating means in the housing consist in a bore (7) for receiving an end of the rod (6), and the cooperating means on the cam shaft consist of a notch (9) made in the surface of the shaft, which cooperates with the rod. In this way, when there is a need to adjust, repair and/or replace engine (1) components, the rod (6) is inserted through the opening (4) and locked in this bore (7) of the housing (2).

  • Patent number: 6634095
Abstract: An installation apparatus of installing a land grid array (LGA) multi-chip module assembly to a printed wiring board is provided. A module holding member is attached to the printed wiring board. The module assembly is inserted into the module holding member. The module assembly is retained to the module holding member, which facilitates mechanical actuation of the LGA compression hardware. The module assembly is electrically grounded to the printed wiring board while the module assembly is retained to the module holding member.

  • Patent number: 5950294
Abstract: A tool which immobilizes dual camshafts of an internal combustion engine by interfering with teeth of the gears or sprockets driving the camshafts when inserted into engagement with the teeth of both gears or sprockets. The tool comprises a generally U-shaped member, wherein the sides of the U pass into and occupy valleys of the teeth. The center of the U has reliefs exposing timing marks of the engine. The tool has optional adjustment structure for adjusting length of the sides of the U and optional second adjustment structure for variably spacing the two sides of the U apart. The former adjustment structure may comprise frictionally retained, slidably disposed members, or may comprise a clamp employing a threaded fastener. In an alternative embodiment, the tool may be formed in separable components wherein two interference members are mounted on a threaded shaft.

  • Patent number: 5484222
Abstract: An apparatus for gripping a pipe, which apparatus comprises an outer member having a first inclined inner surface, and an inner member having a first inclined outer surface, the arrangement being such that, in use, on rotation of said outer member relative to said inner member in one sense said first inclined inner surface co-operates with said first inclined outer surface so that said inner member moves towards a pipe to be gripped.

  • Patent number: 5400844
Abstract: The tool holder is designed to hold an object rigidly in place, at a strategic location, with the benefits of simplicity of placement and easy removal. There are two basic parts: base assembly and the tool mount assembly that mates with it. A spring loaded, cam activated piston locks the pieces together. A non-locking internal conical taper permits 360 degree rotation. A handle mounted on the side activates the camming mechanism to lock the tool or object rigidly in place, being secured to the tool mounting surface.
