Abstract: This is a system/method of clamping or securing or connecting one or more objects together in a wide variety of ways with the main means being a specifically designed bar and mated slot combination. The bar and slot design can be altered to perform many other tasks where some way of attaching one or more objects to another need be accomplished. The main embodiment is, in my estimation, the most advanced type of work or project surface. The combination of a tri-sectional work surface, adjustable in a variety of ways, in size, in tilting, in multi-angle clamping capability, in precision height adjustment, and in the ability to transport the object being worked on easily, plus the addition of accessaries that enhance the overall capabilities of the "Handy Table", make it useable by many different professions and by the average project worker, be it man or woman, young or old.

  • Patent number: 5513838
Abstract: A clamp is more versatile, less damaging, and able to apply a holding force directed from most any angle in its plane of action. This general work-holding clamp consists of several movable clamping units mounted on a circular frame. A clamping unit consists of a clamp screw, a small thumbscrew, and a base. The clamp screw serves its normal purpose, the thumbscrew holds the base in place on the frame, and the base connects the clamp screw to the frame. The circular frame carries all forces between the clamping units, and has a gap to improve versatility.

  • Patent number: 5103704
Abstract: The clamping device has a stationary, substantially vertical clamping face (5) for the workpiece, arranged at right angles with respect to the feed direction of the saw band. A movable clamping jaw (8) is horizontally movable with respect thereto, the clamping jaw (8) having a substantially vertical clamping face (9). The movable clamping jaw (8) is formed as a clamping bridge (7), reaching over the machine table. The fixed clamping face (5) also reaches over the machine table, while leaving a passage for the saw band. The ends of the clamping bridge are guided horizontally beside the machine bench, for clampable adjustment perpendicular to the clamping faces (5, 9), the clamping bridge (7) being pivotable on guide blocks (22, 23) slidable on guide rails next to and below the table (2) of the saw, so that the clamping bridge can clamp a workpiece (3) between the clamping faces, by a toggle connection to a handle, or release the movable bridge.

  • Patent number: 5096170
Abstract: A picture framer's tool of the type used to drive brads into picture frames shown in U.S. Pat. No. 4,763,825 is modified so that it may also be used as a clamp. The tool has two jaws, namely an inner adjustably positioned along a sleeve and a second jaw on the outer end of a rod reciprocable within the sleeve and extending beyond the outer end of said sleeve. The tool has a lever pivoted on a handle which causes the rod to reciprocate. One improvement is the provision of a wing screw or other fastener on the handle which engages the rod so that it is fixed in position. Another improvement is the provision of attachments for each jaw, one of which may be spring-loaded. Attachments include hammer heads, points, swivels and the like.
