Abstract: A high temperature brazing fixture and method of manufacture for a gas turbine component made of a superalloy is disclosed herein. The high temperature brazing fixture includes a first and second frame member, a support member, and positioning member, all of which are made from the superalloy and fastened together using tab and tab lock couplings. The support member is configured to interface with and support the gas turbine engine component, and the positioning member is configured to interface with and position at least a first location of or hold a first dimension of the gas turbine component.
Abstract: An exemplary reconfigurable workpiece support fixture according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a base, and a plurality of spaced-apart plates are removably attachable to the base. Each plate defines a plurality of notches along an angular profile. A plurality of spaced-apart manifolds are receivable in the plurality of notches, and each manifold spans across the plurality of plates. A plurality of attachment devices are removably attachable to the plurality of manifolds.

Abstract: A holding device for padlocks having lock housings of different sizes. The holding device includes guides for positioning the padlocks so that a shell-plug assembly disposed within the lock housing is maintained at a prescribed location. The holding device is attached to a shearing apparatus for shearing assembly pins in the shell-plug assembly.

Abstract: A tool for measuring and filing the end gaps of piston rings to achieve a correct right angle end surface. The tool includes a support base and adjustable piston ring clamp. A ring stop adjustably determines the proper "gap" of the ring material to be removed while the support base provides a guide surface for a file to remove and dress the ring end surface.
Abstract: An apparatus for making tenons and mortises includes a table with a first opening in the top surface thereof. The top surface is disposed for receiving a sliding base assembly for a cutting device having a second opening therein. A work-piece holding assembly is detachably connected to a front portion of the table. The table and sliding base assembly cooperate to define the movement of the sliding base assembly in relation to said first opening. The work-piece holding assembly is positionable at preselected angles and varying vertical positions in relation to the top surface of the table.
Abstract: Bulk arrow shafts, of various diameters, obtained from a manufacturer, which are tapered on one end and square cut at the other end, are subsequently securely supported, accurately measured for an arrow length wanted by an archer, and then cut to this measured length by an archer, who uses this portable bulk arrow shaft guide, support, measurement and guided miter-like razor saw cutoff assembly. An elongated planar base of this assembly is made to rest on a work table or on another level surface structure. A top opening central dovetail groove extends throughout the length of this base. A slidably, selectably positioned receiver subassembly, having depending complementary dovetail portions, is removably interfitted with this base, at the measuring end thereof, to hold a tapered end of a bulk arrow shaft at a designated length of the final arrow shaft length.
