Patent number: 5704610Abstract: A competitive table top type game having a "fenced-in" playing surface with opposed player ends. Each player controls one or more strikers and uses it to cause a play piece such as a ball to hit the opponent's target. When a player's target is hit, a liquid discharge is directed at that player for added play value and enjoyment. For simplicity and economy of construction, that player actuates a mechanical stop to stop the discharge and reset the target. In one form, the actuation of the stop also advances the opponent's's score. Alternatively, any simple score indicating arrangement may be used.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1997Date of Patent: January 6, 1998Assignee: Adolph E. GoldfarbInventors: Adolph E. Patent number: 5372367Abstract: A game having an elongated base with a finite length and a finite width. An upstanding target is provided at one end of the base while at least one projectile launching device is provided at the other end of the base. The projectile launching device includes a hollow bulbous member having an elastically yieldable wall and an opening in the wall into and out of which air can flow in response to an elastic yielding of the wall. At least one projectile is provided and has an elongated stem adapted to fit into the opening into the hollow bulbous member so that upon the ejection of air through the opening, the projectile will be launched toward the target. Structure is provided on the projectile and on a selected portion of the target for becoming attached to one another only in response to a mutual contact therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1994Date of Patent: December 13, 1994Inventor: Richard McKendrick

Patent number: 4973056Abstract: A simulated basketball game includes a play surface having baskets at its opposite ends and defining a plurality of ball shooting-position openings each of which overlies a ball propelling paddle. The ball propelling paddles are selectively interconnected so that each player controls a plurality of paddles through a single player controlled fluid pressure cylinder in an offensive mode of play. Each player also controls a defensive player-figure which requires relatively precise timed actuation in order to block an opponent's shot.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1989Date of Patent: November 27, 1990Inventor: David J. Patent number: 4598910Abstract: A ball game apparatus having a playing surface in the shape of an inverted cone surrounded by an upstanding cylindrical wall. An air blower circulates game balls continuously along the circular periphery of the playing surface at the inside of this wall. A ball striker is selectively adjustable along this wall and it has a pivoted striker arm which can be actuated from a retracted position on the outside of the wall to a ball-deflecting position on the inside in the path of game balls along the periphery of the playing surface. Pivoted targets are located in front of the air blower on the opposite of the apex of the playing surface from the striker.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1985Date of Patent: July 8, 1986Assignee: Arcade Engineering, Inc.Inventor: Ronald D. Patent number: 4418908Abstract: An action game for two or more players has a plurality of player stations, always arranged in pairs. Each pair of player stations is associated with a tiltable rocker or perch on which a figure, such as a sitting duck, is placed. Each player station also has an air bulb; when punched (compressed) this bulb causes a plunger to be flung against the perch. The plunger activated by the faster of the players will hit the perch first, causing it to tilt in direction toward that player's bulb and to fling the figure off the perch in this direction. The player able to score the greatest number of hits within a given number of tries, or within a specified period, is the winner.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1982Date of Patent: December 6, 1983Inventor: Benjamin Kinberg

Patent number: 4325555Abstract: A game apparatus using air jets from a pair of air blowers to move one or more objects. The pair of air blowers are mounted in opposed relationship on guide means and the object is placed between the two air blowers. With the air blowers connected to a source of pressurized air, the goal of the game is to use air jets from the air blowers to move the object to a desired location. The object can be a vaned rotor mounted on a threaded rod. In the latter embodiment, each player uses the air jet from his air blower to attempt to move the vaned rotor in a given direction along the threaded rod to a predetermined end of the rod in order to win the game.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1980Date of Patent: April 20, 1982Inventor: Douglas S. Marling

Patent number: 4079937Abstract: A combination game and tobacco smoking device is disclosed. The device includes a base supporting a transparent air-tight chamber and a pipe bowl. A smoking tube communicates with both the pipe bowl and chamber to permit the user to draw smoke from the bowl and evacuate the air chamber. The air chamber contains a game-playing piece such as lightweight ball and a target or goal. An air passageway communicates the interior of the air chamber with atmosphere so the user can selectively admit air into the evacuated chamber to impart motion to the game piece to urge it toward the target or goal.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1976Date of Patent: March 21, 1978Inventor: Daniel D. Patent number: 4042243Abstract: A competitive pneumatic game to be played by two persons includes a straight section of rigid, transparent tubing having compressible air bellows secured to its opposite ends and a projectile disposed within the tubing for movement therealong by air pressure in the tube. Associated with each of the bellows is a scoring indicator actuable when the projectile strikes it. The object of the game is for one player to force the projectile, by skillful manipulation of his bellows against the manipulation by his opponent of his bellows, to strike the scoring indicator at the opponent's end of the tubing.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 1976Date of Patent: August 16, 1977Assignee: CBS Inc.Inventors: Per O.
