Abstract: The present invention comprises a plurality of stationary mounted rotating drums and opposite end drums being driven by a stepper motor that will work in conjunction with each other. An elongated belt having graphic patterns printed upon it is connected around each of these drums. The stepper motor will stop at a precise moment to display particular graphic symbols at any given time by a microprocessor. The window in which the symbols are displayed is in a triangular form with one window at the top, two windows in the middle and three windows at the bottom.
Abstract: The present invention comprises an endless belt which is provided with perforations at the edge on the opposite sides at a regular interval, a pair of belt pulleys around which said endless belt is suspended, a sprocket wheel which is disposed substantially at midway between the pair of pulleys and whose teeth engage with the perforations on the endless belt, a stepping motor which drives the toothed wheel, and a drive circuit which drives said stepping motor. Said sprocket wheel has a diameter larger than that of the pulleys, so that the endless belt would tightly press against the sprocket and held in place.
Abstract: When a golfer strikes a ball on a tee connected to a latch release for a pivotally mounted arm, the arm is accelerated by a preloaded torsion spring from an inactive (vertical) position to an indicating (horizontal) position in which an opening in the arm is disposed on the same line of sight from the golfer as the tee. An endless tape, which is supported by the arm, has a number appearing in the opening for a short, selected period of time after the arm reaches its indicating position. The opening is blocked by a slide after the selected period of time has elapsed so that the golfer will not see the number if the golfer fails to maintain eye contact with the ball impact area after striking the ball on the tee. When the arm is returned to its inactive position, the number on the tape can be viewed from the opposite side of the arm having the opening so that the golfer can ascertain if the number was viewed.
Abstract: Briefly, a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes an electronic gaming apparatus including an outer housing having a front panel hingedly attached to form a housing closure. The outer surface of the front panel provides a playing surface including windows which various indicators may be viewed and switches enabling player interaction. The rear side of the front panel is in the form of a printed circuit board including a network of printed circuit conductors disposed thereon. Also affixed to the rear side of the first panel and supported thereby are various switches, electronic components, indicators, lights and facsimile display modules, all of which are electrically interconnected by means of the printed circuit conductors. The facsimile display modules each include a pair of web carrying reels which are reversibly driven by a single reversible motor and a coil spring for maintaining constant tension in the web as it is wound and unwound upon the respective reels.
