  • Patent number: 4744098
Abstract: A roulette calculator for recording and visually displaying the occurrence and number of winning numerals during the progress of play of a roulette game is disclosed. The calculator includes a keyboard having a key and visual display for each number of a roulette wheel. A power source and electronic circuit means are employed between the keys and visual display means to advance the count in the visual display means upon key stroke of a given key to thus visually display winning numerals and the number of times that numeral was a winning numeral. The layout of the keyboard and color of the keys correspond to the roulette table colors and layout. Additional keys and associated visual displays may be provided to record conditions such as the number of winnings of red vs. black or odd vs. even. The keys and visual displays are positioned within recesses to prevent miskeying.

  • Patent number: 4712796
Abstract: A device for generating a plurality of subsets from a prechosen field, having two discs held in registry to each other and secured for rotatable movement through a plurality of steps. One of the discs is clear and has a designated area for recording a field of characters, usually numerals. The second surface aligned beneath the first surface has a plurality of segments, each of which corresponds to the designated area as the wheels are being rotated with respect to one another. The segments on the second surface have portions which are darkened for blocking out certain characters within the designated area and other portions of the segments are light for illuminating portions of the designated area and the characters placed within those portions. Rotation of the two discs so that each segment corresponds to the designated area yields a plurality of subsets from the field of characters inserted within the designated area.

  • Patent number: 4693480
Abstract: This invention is a new kind of card game that will make the players feel very happy because the game is easy to play since the symbol (ball, octagon, star, triangle, or wall) and the single color on the face of each card tell each one of two players when to buy, owe, sell, trade, or wind two cards. The dealer controls or instructs all players so the game will always be easy to play, and serial numbers on the cards and colored coins prevents cheating and disencourages trying to cheat. A player wins by showing the dealer at a certain time any number of cards that equal 3 whole matching colors. Card game toys (the colored bank, the colored stick-tray, and the players' assemble card) help the dealer control the players in every game and the other card game toys help the players follow the instructions of the dealer since the said toys are ID (identification) tags and colored coins. Players without enough cards and/or colored coins are eliminated from the game.

  • Patent number: 4266774
Abstract: A competitive game apparatus comprised of a game board having a playing surface with a plurality of intersecting playing paths on which playing pieces may be positioned. Two or more players are each provided with a set of the playing pieces which are distinguishable from the playing pieces of the other player by indicia, as for example the color of the playing pieces. The players alternate in playing pieces on the paths, with each player attempting to extend a continuous strip of his or her player pieces while attempting to block the further extension of the strips of his opponents. A timer may be provided with each player required to complete his or her turn in a preestablished time period. This imposes a tempo on the play. Particularly when the game is played at a very fast tempo, the playing pieces already on the board tend to be inadvertently displaced, and it is desirable that the board and/or the playing pieces be constructed to detachably maintain the pieces where they are placed on the surface.

  • Patent number: 4254955
Abstract: A bingo game timer apparatus for cooperation with a device capable of supplying bingo indicia carrying articles, such as balls, one after the other along a path, to assist the bingo game operator in calling out bingo indicia to be played. The timer apparatus includes a limit switch having an actuator positioned for actuation by a ball moving along the path. A timer responds to actuation of the limit switch for timing an interval adjustable to be sufficient for the operator to call out, and the players to play, the bingo letter and number on a given ball. Signal lamps alternately respond to the state of the timer for signaling the occurrence of the interval to the operator.

  • Patent number: 4245216
Abstract: An electric cribbage board wherein the score for each shown by the illumination of a respective one of a number of lightable indicator devices forming a respective "track" or "street". The board is arranged to illuminate two successive devices in each track, the leading device indicating the total game score, while the trailing device indicates the just preceding total score. Facilities are provided for displaying and therefore checking a hand count before it is added to the respective total score count for each player so as to light the appropriate indicator. The board avoids the need for mental computation as is required with completely manual cribbage boards, or known electro-mechanical cribbage boards, and thereby assists in eliminating incorrect hand and total score counts during playing of the card game of cribbage.

  • Patent number: 4203605
Abstract: A football game apparatus for simulating football. The game has a playing board surface with grid lines marked to define a playing field. Sliding markers indicate ball placement and the yardage required for first down. The game is played with dice to determine by chance the ball movement. A pair of cups are rotatably carried on the board surface. Each cup has an indicator to indicate various areas marked on the board surface. These areas indicate the next down and the play and must be selected by the players. The cups also receive the thrown dice, penalties being assessed if the dice bounce out, or if a player neglects to properly select his next play by rotating the cup.

  • Patent number: 4196905
Abstract: A game involving the placing of checkers on a game board made up of 20 vertical columns and 20 horizontal files of squares in an attempt to align six or more checkers belonging to one team horizontally, vertically or diagonally is played by two opposing teams of two players per team. Each row of squares running diagonally in one direction is colored entirely in one of three separate colors. The squares making up the longests diagonal row appear in a neutral color, the squares in the next adjacent contiguous diagonal row on one side are colored pink and the squares on the next adjacent contiguous diagonal row on the other side of the neutral row are colored blue. The colors repeat and no two contiguous diagonal rows are the same color. Each team has 72 checkers colored either black or white to represent that team. Each checker has a spot on one side colored pink and a spot on the other side colored blue. Each player puts one checker on the board in turn.

  • Patent number: 4193600
Abstract: A cribbage scoring device having an input device, a display device, and electronic circuitry to exercise the display device and provide the card players with scoring information. The device is preferably embodied in a relatively small housing. Each card player has a keyboard section to input scoring information and several display sections to display one's own score as well as the difference between one's score and an opponent's score. The electronic circuitry is located within the housing, consists of six subsystems: keyboard, memory, display, clock, instruction decode and sequence decode, and modification logic. The device may be operated either by battery or from an AC line.

  • Patent number: 4175336
Abstract: A bridge playing apparatus is disclosed that is adapted for use with a bridge column of a newspaper, magazine or the like. The apparatus comprises an outer housing member having a pair of windows cut therethrough and two inner members slidably disposed within the outer housing. Through relative sliding action of the inner members relative to the outer housing, the printed indicia relating to the player's hand, sequential bidding, and the dummy are selectively exposed or covered. The apparatus allows the player to study his hand without peeking at the dummy or his opponents' hands and then bid his hand and compare his bid with the bids suggested in the column by incrementally uncovering a portion of the column corresponding to the sequential bidding information. The player may then expose the dummy hand and plan his play. Then, all of the hands may be uncovered and the player may then ascertain how well the hand was played.
