Abstract: A training aid for shooting a basketball including a head-mounting portion configured to mount onto the head of a person shooting the basketball and a feedback-providing portion attached to, and supported by, the head mounting portion. The feedback-providing portion defining a forward-facing engagement surface extending upward from the head-mounting portion that provides tactile feedback to the person when the engagement surface is contacted by at least one of the basketball and a shooting hand of the person shooting the basketball.

Abstract: A two-player versus game system which can be completely disassembled and stored for easy storage and transport, and which can quickly be assembled into a functioning game system. The system includes a central tower from which a ring or a ball on a string hangs over the playing area. A scoring element is extended vertically on either side of the player area, one for each player. The base of the container can include score-keeping devices attached thereto, such as sliding beads on a rod for quickly tabulating when a player scores a hook on a ring or a ball in a basket. The scoring elements and the central tower both can all be removed from their respective receivers within the base of the container and laid flat within the container, and the lid can close the container.

The water provides a force dampener when the thrown game piece impacts a surface of the board.

Abstract: The present invention includes a game of skill and a game piece generally comprising a single strip having first and second ends, wherein said first and second ends are attached to one another to form a single endless ring having a corner on one side of said ring and a teardrop-shaped opposing side opposite said corner. In some embodiments the ring is a single continuous piece. Alternative embodiments of the present invention call for the game piece to be flexible, and for utilizing attachment mechanisms and curvature retention mechanisms to further adjust and retain the curvature of the ring, all for the purpose of affecting the trajectory of the ring when thrown.

The support column is anchored to the towing structure. The towing structure has a tow member, a pair of long skids, a short skid, and a towing attachment device. The support column base is attached to the short skid which provides for transfer of the weight of the simulated calf to the ground. In specific implementations, the ring toss game is foldable and portable using a folding mechanism to convert the apparatus from a playing position to a storing position.

Abstract: A portable horseshoe game suitable for use in connection with an existing bags game. The game includes a rod which may be secured within the opening of the bags game. More specifically, the rod may be secured in a generally perpendicular position with respect to the target surface of the bags game. In an alternative embodiment, the rod may be secured in a generally perpendicular position with respect to the ground. The game has a first plate and a second plate secured to the rod wherein the first plate covers the top side of the opening of the target surface of the bags game and the second plate covers the bottom side of the opening of the target surface of the bags game. Once the rod is secured within the opening, users may play horseshoes on the existing bags target surface. The game may be played indoors or outdoors.

In some methods, players play to gain points by throwing projectiles to form standard clusters on a target area. In some other methods, the object is to be the first to complete a predetermined wining pattern. In the other methods, players play to complete a winning pattern and gain points.

Abstract: A tossing game preferably includes an even number of tossing discs, a target disc, a retaining wire, a disc retrieval wand and a portable play surface. The tossing discs come in at least two colors and the target disc is a different color than any of the tossing discs. The retaining wire retains the discs and is also used to measure the distance between the tossing discs and the target disc. The disc retrieval wand includes a rod, a scoop and a magnetic ring. The magnetic ring is slidably engaged with the rod. The scoop is attached adjacent one end of the rod. Sand is preferably placed in the portable play surface. The portable play surface is preferably raised to accommodate play and removal of discs by the physically challenged. Each disc may be retrieved from the play surface with the magnetic ring and dropped into the scoop.

A tension spring, which is attached to the bottom or inside end of each horn and stretched between them, urges the horns to an anatomically correct down position until a lasso rope around the horns is pulled, and restores the horns to an anatomically correct position when the lasso has been released. A head pivoting bracket may also provide for upward pivoting of the head as the lasso rope is pulled, further facilitating the release of the lasso from the horns, and for restoring the head to an anatomically correct down position when the lasso has been released.

Movement of the weights within the throwing ring produces an oscillation-damping action which minimizes any tendency of the ring to bounce off the target board after impact.
