Abstract: A self-healing reactive target includes a target apparatus and a target holder. The target apparatus is a solid one-piece target apparatus made from a self-healing material. The target holder is configured to hold the one-piece target apparatus. The target holder is made from a tear resistant and self-healing material. Wherein, the solid one-piece target is configured to move about the target holder for providing reactive feedback when shot. Wherein the solid one-piece target apparatus is configured to spin within the target holder for providing instant feedback when shot.

Abstract: A projectile target 10 comprises a support structure 20 adapted to support two or more targets 30. The targets 30 are ideally off the ground 12, that is spaced from the ground 12. Each target 30 is, in turn, supported by an arm 32 extending from a common hinge 34. Each pair of targets 30 includes a first main target 30a and a second target 30b. In a first position 38a, the first target 30a presents a first broad target surface 36a to an operator or shooter (not shown). The second target 30b is displaced so that it does not present a viable target to the operator. However, the second target 30b is adapted to move into a second, viable, target position 38b when the first target 30a is struck substantially on its broad target surface 36a by a projectile, such as a .22 calibre bullet.

Abstract: A target system includes a blocking plate with one or more openings through which bullets are fired and one or more targets for being struck by the bullets disposed behind the blocking plate and generally in line with the one or more openings. The target system includes a slotted bracket which limits the range of movement of the target after it has been struck by a projectile. The slotted bracket also provides for tool-less attachment and removal of the targets from the blocking plate.

Abstract: A walking target may include a plurality of target impact areas which are oriented in at least two different planes so that a plurality of target impact areas rest on a surface and hold one target impact area generally upright. The walking target may be formed from a single piece of metal.

Abstract: A shooting target for use with high-power firearms comprising one or more movable targets moveably connected to an upstanding post. The post includes an elongate target guide structure defined by hollow cylinder with a guide slot in the cylinder wall. The target has a pivot section with a target arm extending generally perpendicularly therefrom and a distally disposed target face connected to the arm. The cylinder is sized to receive the pivot section therein so that the target arm extends outwardly though the guide slot, the guide slot configured to simultaneously direct movement of the target from one side of the guide to the other and downwardly as the target rotated in the guide structure following impact by a bullet. The target arm is configured to position the target adjacent to the upstanding post where it is visible to the shooter. The upstanding post is provided with a V-shaped impingement structure disposed facing the shooter and between the target support structure and the shooter.

Participants can take either offensive shots against the competitor's targets or defensive shots to protect their targets from being impacted by the competitor.

Abstract: A target gate and a method of operating same are provided. The target gate comprises i) an impact surface for selectively blocking a projectile; ii) a support structure for supporting the impact surface; and iii) at least one coupling for coupling the impact surface to the support structure such that the impact surface is moveable from a first position to a second position when hit by the projectile traveling at not less than a minimum velocity. The at least one coupling comprises a biasing element for biasing the impact surface to move from the second position to the first position, the biasing element being adjustable to pre-select the minimum velocity.

The second target section is at least partially visible through an opening in the first target section. An adjusting device engageably attaches to the first target section providing for a reduced effective size of the target area. An adjusting device is also disclosed.

Abstract: A target and magnetic material are provided. The target has a size sufficient to facilitate training a trainee in shooting a hockey puck at a specific location in a hockey goal. The target is further provided with an edge face with a mounting surface for receiving the magnetic material. The target is removably secured to a structural frame member defining a hockey goal by positioning the edge face with the magnetic material adjacent to a structural frame member comprising the hockey goal. Methods of use of the target are also disclosed.

The targets are cooperatively connected by a linkage so that the falling of the first target, when struck by a projectile, raises the second target from a horizontal to a vertical position. The falling of the second target, when struck by a projectile raises the first target from a horizontal to a vertical position.

Abstract: A target array in which a struck pendulous target rotates past and interacts with a shock absorber before coming to rest in a set position on a ledge. The shock absorber consists of a laterally-extending shaft that extends through a piece of pipe. The diameter of the shaft is appreciably less than the inside diameter of the pipe, so that the pipe is pendulously supported on the shaft. The shaft is parallel to but spaced from the axis about which the target rotates. The spacing is such that as the struck target rotates it contacts and pushes aside the pipe, thereby transferring energy from the target to the pipe and preventing the target from rebounding when it reaches its set position resting on a laterally-extending ledge. The laterally-extending ledge also is rotatable about a laterally-extending axis and is connected to a resetting target. When the resetting target is struck, the impact causes the ledge to rotate out from under the set targets which descend by gravity to their original positions.

Abstract: A remotely resettable target assembly includes an enclosure having a window therein and a number of individual targets pivotally-mounted within the enclosure for rotation from a set position to an unset position upon being struck by an incoming projectile. A master target is provided and coupled to a bar, including a plurality of permanent magnets for attracting the individual targets and holding them in an unset position. Upon striking of the master target, rotation of the bar including the pertinent magnets contained therein, causes separation of the permanent magnets from the individual targets, causing the individual targets to be reset by the force of gravity.

Abstract: The invention provides a rugged, practical, and readily portable turnstile goal, having two to five relatively large sized paddle type elements of grided construction, a simple, rugged, and concealed turnstile rotary friction control system, and a simple, reliable, and highly visible turnstile fractional rotation indicating system. Subject turnstile goal is suitable for use in continuous and vigorous team action games such as football (soccer), team handball, lacrosse, and ice hockey, with only one goal and ball or disc needed, and with team players free to move above the entire playing area. Game set-up places turnstile goal in center of limit circle having radius of 3 to 5 mts (3 to 5 yds). Competing teams can number from four to ten players each, with game play comparable to that of conventional game, except that shot at goal must be from outside limit circle. No defense is permitted in circle.

Abstract: The combat target of the invention, in contrast to the prior art drop or fall targets, is capable of automatically indicating a number of target hits occurring time wise in succession, without there being necessary, after each hit, manual resetting of the target. For this purpose, the target image is rigidly coupled for rotation at a power take-off shaft of a force or power storage means, the power take-off shaft being essentially vertically disposed when the target is in its erect position. The storage capacity of the force storage means is adequate for accomplishing a number of revolutions of the power take-off shaft. A stop or impact arrangement, in its engaged or effectual position, prevents rotation of the power take-off shaft as long as there is no target hit, but upon occurrence of a target hit is temporarily brought out of such engaged or effective position.
