Abstract: A golf putter with a novel head design consists of solid materials laminated horizontally to yield a single surface alignment aid on the surface that strikes the golf ball (the front face/face). Optional alignment markings on the top surface of the putter, centered over the point on the face where there in minimal torque when the head strikes the golf ball ("sweet spot"), combine with the single surface alignment aid on the face to form a single surface two-dimensional alignment system. The resilient nature of the solid materials used for the preferred embodiment of this putter head imparts a softer "feel" to the golfer, reduces skid of the ball after the ball is struck, and produces a light-weight club, allowing the golfer to use a fuller complete stroke for each putt, thereby improving precision and accuracy from putt to putt.

Abstract: A golf putter having a CORIAN putterhead [10] and a handle [110] affixed thereto. The putterhead is a three layer [20, 30, 40 ] hollow, [31], ear-shaped methacrylate sandwich fixedly encapsulating a variably sized lead shot weight filler [60, 70] in the hollow. Putting alignment inlays [50] are affixed in the top surface. The sandwich has a flat putting face [80] and a curvo-linear shaped body [90] the top edge of which is slanted [120]. The different colored CORIAN layers and alignment indicators add to the aesthetics of the putterhead. The CORIAN putting face [80] reduces the tendency of the golf ball to skid when it is contacted. The sandwich is made by adhering a hollowed [31] middle layer [30] to a flat end layer [20], inserting the lead shot [60] and resin filler [70], closing with a flat end layer [40 ] and shaping. The sandwich is then provided with the alignment inlays [50 ], final shaped [120], finished to a high luster and provided with a handle [110].
Abstract: Decorative or display device for game-playing, amusement or aesthetic purposes comprises a three-dimensional array of switchable indicators in a transparent matrix. The indicators may be light sources e.g. led's and may be used to play games such as noughts and crosses in 3-dimensions. A non-electric version has a stack of separable layers with beads insertable in recesses.
Abstract: A magnifying device for use with certain games and for reading small print. More particularly, the device has non-parallel, spaced apart lower and upper surfaces such that when the device is placed on a flat surface, the upper surface is at an oblique angle to the viewer so that an underlying number or word is magnified and more clearly seen. The device may also serve as a bingo marker and magnifier for magnifying the given number over which the marker lays.
Abstract: A word puzzle card game employs template mask devices and puzzle cards. Individual puzzle cards, having puzzle-words or phrases imprinted thereon, are movably inserted into individual template mask devices, and are displaced therein to successively reveal, through a plurality of mask windows, individual location indicia and associated characters of puzzle-words or phrases to permit solving of the puzzle. Particular scoring values are indicated by the displacement position of puzzle cards. Tracking of characters in their locations according to associated location indicia is facilitated by puzzle tracking sheets. Tracking and display of players' successes in puzzle solving can be provided by movement of game pieces upon fields of a game board in accordance with game rules which can further introduce elements of luck and skill into the game.
Abstract: A racket body formed of composite materials in which the shaft portion of the handle, two branches of a throat portion and a frame portion, which can be completed by a bridging portion, adjoin in end to end relationship and have cores and sheaths composed of different materials. The sheaths are comprised of fiber webs or braids impregnated with synthetic resin, the fibers differing along the length of the racket from at least one portion to another, while the orientations of the fibers with respect to the axes of the respective cores can differ from place to place as well. The end portions of thetwo branches of the throat are axially offset from one another so as to avoid the formation of a rupture zone.
Abstract: The impact surface of a golf club head is coated with a mixture of abrasive particles and a soluble adhesive. The mixture is applied as a liquid and after drying provides a non-permanent coating on the impact surface of the gold club head. The dried-on abrasive particles impart additional spin to a golf ball upon impact with the head.
