Abstract: The invention relates to an actuating device for a rotatable closure part of a valve, in particular a pneumatically or hydraulically actuatable rotary drive for a disk or throttle valve, with a housing, in which a drive piston that is sealed from a cylindrical housing casing is arranged and is suppliable on one side with a pressurizing medium, which preferably has a tubular piston skirt, with a drive shaft, which is guided on one side out of the housing and drives in a rotating manner the closure part indirectly or directly, wherein the drive piston executes either an axial shift movement against the effect of at least one return spring in the case of a one-sided supply with the pressurizing medium or a back and forth shift movement in the case of an alternating supply with a pressurizing medium, wherein the piston skirt experiences an axially oriented guidance in the housing via at least one axial groove formed in it, into which a straight-line guide cam permanently connected with the housing engages, and wh
Abstract: Field removable bonnet assemblies for use with valves are disclosed. An example internal valve includes an internal valve body and a field removable bonnet assembly. The field removable bonnet assembly includes a body that is to be removably coupled to the internal valve body and a shaft to be at least partially positioned within the body. The field removable bonnet assembly also includes an adjuster including a first adjuster portion and a second adjuster portion. The body defines a bore having a first diameter portion and a second diameter portion larger than the first diameter portion. The first diameter portion is to receive a valve packing. The second diameter portion to be threadably engaged by the second adjuster portion. The adjuster is externally accessible to adjust the first adjuster portion within the first diameter portion to change a force exerted by the valve packing on the shaft.

Abstract: A female hydraulic coupling member has an elastomer probe seal molded to or abutting a ring-shaped metal base which is adapted to exert a compressive force on the probe seal when exposed to hydraulic fluid pressure. The compressive force causes the seal to expand in a radial direction thereby increasing its sealing effectiveness. A retainer nut for holding the seal in the receiving chamber may have a angled surface which acts to urge the seal in an inward, radial direction when an axial, compressive force is applied to the seal.
Abstract: A connecting box, gland nut, and electrical connector for the solar connector industry is disclosed. The connecting box, the gland nut, and the electrical connector require a tool to disengage, are being resistant to external environmental stressors, and/or provide the ability to monitor information regarding the connecting box, the gland nut, and/or the electrical connector.

Abstract: A valve has a valving element which is rotatably fitted within a valve body. This valving element of the valve is joined by a stem or shaft portion which extends out of the valve body to interact with an actuator and transmit torque to the valving element. In plug valves, pressure needs to be also applied to the valving element to insure a proper closure. The invention relates to a mechanism to adjustably seal the stem/body interface using only one screw that is positioned on the front of the valve cover for easy access. The force generated by the screw is transposed into a vertical force by a rotatable cam. The multiple faces of the cam are used to transmit the force vertically and horizontally and will maintain the mechanism in a straight position.
Abstract: A seal (14) for use between a pair of substantially concentric elements (10 and 11) capable of relative movement with respect to each other, said seal comprising a sealing element (17) having a configuration of a helix wherein the opposed axial faces of the helix are of complementary configuration and are in close abutting relationship with each other, said sealing element (17) being formed of a rigid resilient wear resistant material having a low coefficient of sliding friction, said sealing element (17) being adapted to be supported from one element (11) by a support means (13) and being in close abutting relationship with the other element (10), a clamping means (19) for causing resilient compression of the seal against the other element, a resilient means (20) mounted between the axial ends of the sealing element (17) and adapted to resiliently resist relative rotation between the ends of the sealing element (17) in a direction which will cause the sealing element (17) to expand radially.
