Abstract: Disclosed are a hand-tearable adhesive tape which is made of a sheet woven with warps and wefts, in which the warps have a smaller titer than the wefts, and is coated with a flame retardant to provide flame retardancy and is with an adhesive agent, and a method for manufacturing the same. Advantageously, the hand-tearable adhesive tape can exhibit superior adhesive force, while providing flame retardancy and can be torn by hand.
Abstract: A reversible, heat-set covered fiber is described, the covered fiber comprising: A. A core comprising an elastic fiber comprising a substantially crosslinked, temperature-stable, olefin polymer, and B. A cover comprising an inelastic fiber. The fiber is heat-set by a method comprising: (a) Stretching the covered fiber by applying a stretching force to the covered fiber; (b) Heating the stretched covered fiber of (a) to a temperature in excess of the crystalline melting point of the olefin polymer for a period of time sufficient to at least partially melt the olefin polymer; (c) Cooling the stretched and heated covered fiber of (b) to a temperature below the crystalline melting point of the olefin polymer for a period of time sufficient to solidify the polymer; and (d) Removing the stretching force from the covered fiber.

Abstract: A method to aid designing flexible packaging for wrapping around a solid object and finalizing the packaging. The method includes accepting a description of the surface of a sheet of packaging material after wrapping around the solid object and finalizing, using a mapping of points in the 2D plane of the sheet of the packaging material to the corresponding points in the 3D surface of the wrapped and finalized packaging. The method further includes displaying the surface of the wrapped and finalized packaging or displaying graphic elements on the surface of wrapped and finalized packaging. A version includes pre-distorting graphics to correct for any distortions to graphics that occur during the wrapping and finalizing process, and generating press-ready graphics from the pre-distorted graphics for printing onto the surface of the sheet of packaging material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pneumatic thread stretcher (T) for a rapier weaving machine or a knitting machine, in which the air current deflection surface (19) for deflecting the thread (Y, Y1) forms a seamless extension (12) of the inner wall of the linear guide channel, through which the thread runs. The invention also relates to a device (H) for changing the flow rate or the pressure of the air current along the deflection surface (19) of the pneumatic thread stretcher (T) between at least two different levels, in accordance with the operating cycle o the textile machine.
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a composite sheet by joining a second web made of thermoplastic synthetic fiber and capable of inelastic extension to at least one surface of a first web capable of elastic stretch and contraction in an intermittent manner. The process involves a step of extending the first web and a step of allowing the first web to retract, and a step of joining a second web to the second web while in a retracted state are included.
Abstract: During the relative displacement between a warping stand with a warping drum and a beaming stand with a warp beam for rewinding a thread group, mutual support takes place at a supporting bearing. In this way, very high warp tensions can be adopted, without the risk that the warping stand will tilt and without the latter having to be loaded with additional weights.
