Warp Preparing Or Handling Patents (Class 28/172.1)
  • Patent number: 10633211
Abstract: A creel, such as may be used to supply fiberglass roving to a production process, includes an enclosure and a number of rotatable axles held within the enclosure. Each of the axles is of a shape and size to be inserted into a bobbin of roving. The creel also includes a drive mechanism coupled to each of the plurality of rotatable axles, the drive mechanism synchronizing the rotation of the axles. Bobbins of roving may be stacked on the axles and connected to provide continuous roving. As roving is drawn from the creel, the rate of rotation of the axles may be selected to counteract twisting of the roving that would otherwise result.

Abstract: The invention can firmly and easily remove a finely divided weft piece without leaving the weft piece by constituting a method and an apparatus of removing weft from a cord fabric for a topping sheet in a calender line for topping rubber on a number of pieces of aligned cords by a calender roll. In the midst of transferring a cord fabric transferred to a calender apparatus, weft is finely divided by passing the cord fabric through weft dividing means, thereafter, a plurality of blades arranged movably in a width direction on an upper face side of the cord fabric are reciprocally moved in the width direction over an entire width thereof to be brought into contact with the cord fabric, and the divided weft piece is wiped off to remove by respectively striking respective cords of the cord fabric by the respective blades.

  • Publication number: 20100107382
Abstract: Method and device for treating a warp thread sheet. The method includes drawing off a plurality of warp threads from a creel, winding the warp threads, after being drawn off from the creel, onto a warp beam, combining the drawn off threads to form a rope, and treating the rope with a treatment agent. The warp threads are unwound from the warp beam before the treating of the rope, and the rope is formed between the unwinding from the warp beam and the treating.

  • Patent number: 6883213
Abstract: An apparatus for applying weft yarns in a cross direction to warp yarns assembled on a beam in parallel aligned relationship and having an adhesive scrim thereon includes a supply roll of the warp yarns on such a beam which are fed downstream of the apparatus by first laying the warp yarns onto a transfer belt to reduce the tension in the yarns and controlling them for application of the weft yarns. A transfer belt and warp yarns are first folded between folding bars into a cylindrical configuration where they are formed around the perimeter of an elongated mandrel having a heated section at its upstream end and a cooling section at its downstream end. Weft yarns are wrapped around the warp yarns and the supporting transfer belt within a rotating tube having a plurality of longitudinally and circumferentially spaced spools of weft yarn disposed on its outer surface.

  • Patent number: 6592069
Abstract: A beam rack utilizes a plurality of mini-beams located in substantially planar layer arrangements wherein the yarn ends are fed in substantially the same direction to directors which direct the yarn to a header. The mini-beams are stacked both horizontally and vertically in the beam rack. The beam rack preferably includes a bearing arm for supporting a plurality of mini-beams along bushings of the mini-beams. The mini-beam is loaded with a warper wherein a plurality of yarn ends are preferably loaded on a single mini-beam. The yam ends can vary anywhere from one yarn to sixteen or more yarns per mini-beam depending on the number of mini-beams required to correspond with yarn feeds for a particular pattern. The yarn ends proceed from the mini-beams to the director, a header and on to a tufting machine.
