Abstract: A rotatable loom with a mannequin such that the loom can be used to produce a hand-made single piece of cloth or cloth product in a three dimension with a thread of choice. The loom has two or more frames with graded rings such that the rings help in achieving a cylindrical or cubic shape cloth.
Abstract: A supply spool supplies a weft thread through an adjustable actuated thread brake and a thread tension sensor to a weft thread accumulator, from which an accumulated insertion length of the thread is provided to a weft insertion device. The tension sensor provides a measured actual thread tension signal to a control arrangement, which compares the actual tension to a selected rated tension, and, dependent on the deviation therebetween, provides a control signal to an actuator of the thread brake, so that the actual thread tension constantly corresponds to the selected rated tension. Another sensor provides a signal indicating a change from an empty spool to a full spool. Responsive thereto, the control arrangement actuates the thread brake to an adjustable starting brake setting as a coarse adjustment. Then the self-regulating fine adjustment is continued. A constant winding tension and thread accumulation length are achieved in the thread accumulator.

Abstract: Yarn breakage position detecting method and device. The device includes a tension detector arranged at a reference position, to monitor tension of a running yarn, so that from a tension signal output by the tension detector, occurrence of yarn breakage is first detected and passage of the end of a broken yarn through the reference position is then detected. The yarn breakage position is calculated based on the time period from occurrence of yarn breakage to passage of the broken yarn end through the reference position. The time when the yarn is broken is stored as a time at which the tension signal becomes a peak value and/or a time at which the tension signal begins to decrease below a steady state tension value. The time when the yarn passes through the reference position is stored as a time at which the tension signal becomes lower than a lower limit value and/or a time at which natural oscillation begins.
Abstract: An arrangement for the stretching and warping of synthetic warp threads under the influence of heat. The arrangement has feed rollers for driving warp threads, take off rollers for driving warp threads received from the feed rollers, with the take off rollers having a higher circumferential speed than the feed rollers. Additionally there are at least two rotatable deflection rollers, of which at least one roller is heatable with the rollers being rotatable in directions opposite to each other, and at least two auxiliary rollers which are rotatable in directions opposite to each other. A feed segment of the thread extends from the feed roller arrangement to the deflection roller proximate thereto and a take off segment of the threads extends from the deflection roller proximate thereto, to the take off roller arrangement.
Abstract: A yarn monitoring device comprises in association with each doubling spindle (1) a sensing arm (7) monitoring the upwardly directed yarn run between yarn guide eye (3) and feed roller (V), which arm is mounted by means of a mounting bush (9) for limited swinging on a rocker shaft (6). The mounting bush (9) comprises a slot (12) extending in its circumferential direction, in which engages a stop pin (11) extending radial to the rocker shaft (6) and fixed relative thereto. In the slot (12) is a lining in the form of a substantially U-shaped clip (13) of spring steel, whose semi-circular connecting part (13b) lies at the end surface (12b) of the slot (12) directed away from the spindle and whose U-arms (13a) extend parallel to the side walls (12a) of the slot (12), abut thereagainst and are inwardly bent at their free ends (13c) so that they grip on to the stop pin (11) in the swung up position of the sensing arm (7).
Abstract: The invention relates to a thread movement sensor comprising an arm with at least one thread guide. The invention solves the problem of sensitivity of the sensor to the vibrations of the machine by making a part of the arm an element of a magnetic circuit of coil, the latter being connected to the control circuit of a knitting machine.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for sizing warp yarn utilized in preparing a loom beam for weaving are disclosed. A porous application roll (A) is utilized for applying a sizing material onto a sheet of warp yarns (12) passing between a pressure roll (30) and the application roll. The application roll includes a continuous cylindrical porous application surface (B) formed around the entire periphery of the roll having an extent at least as great as the warp yarn sheet width. An intermediate porous distribution layer (C) is provided next to the application surface (B) for disbursing the sizing material onto the application surface. A porous flow control membrane (D) having a pore size less than that of the distribution layer occupies a boundary region for metering the sizing material. When the passage of warp yarns is discontinued, the application roll (A) is moved to an idle position by an actuator (38). In the idle position, liquid (72) is made to contact the application surface to maintain it in a moist condition.

Abstract: A combined damper and thread breakage sensor for use with textile machines includes a housing having a non-conducting medium disposed therein and a first contact and a second contact means immersed in the medium. The second contact extends beyond the housing and is provided with means for guiding the thread in a first position. Upon breakage of the thread the second contact moves to a second position coming into electrical contact with the first contact thereby completing an electrical circuit path of an external circuit. The completed electrical circuit path causes the circuit to shut down the textile machine, thus preventing the fabrication of defective material. The movable contact is provided with a portion which offers resistance to the non-conducting medium thereby additionally functioning to dampen out any sudden and intermittent changes in the thread tension.
