Abstract: A wheeled vehicle for children has an open-centered frame that is dimensionally adjustable longitudinally on which a front drive axle and a rear wheel yoke are mounted. An operator's seat having cushion and back portions is secured within the interior and towards the rear of the open-centered frame and the cushion portion is disposed at an elevation substantially equal to the axle height of the vehicle wheel base. The front drive axle has a front drive wheel rotatably mounted on each end, and a pedal portion between the two front drive wheels which propels the vehicle when actuated by the vehicle operator. A steering lever is pivotally mounted on the exterior of each side of the open-centered frame adjacent the operator's seat and is connected to the rear wheel yoke by a steering rod. A rear steering wheel is mounted by the rear wheel yoke and tilting of the steering levers pivots the rear wheel yoke, and, hence, the rear steering wheel about an upright axis imparting a steering motion to the vehicle.
Abstract: Conventional vehicles such as tricycles have two wheels at the back and a single wheel at the front. Alternatively, they may be constructed with two wheels at the front and one at the rear. In all cases, however, they are of a rigid construction and cannot "lean" on corners in a manner similar to a bicycle. Because of this, turning speed is limited and riding and manoeuvering awkward. The present device has a single rear wheel and a conventional frame and propulsion means. Two front wheels are mounted on an axle and the main frame on which the rider sits is journalled on a bearing secured to the axle so that the rider may lean into the turns. This arrangement also allows the frame and the rider to remain vertical when riding on a side slope and, in addition, provides a smoother ride than does a rigid vehicle.
Abstract: A three-wheeled vehicle or tricycle having an elongated frame mounting an auxiliary tricycle seat behind an operator's seat with handle bars and pedals for the auxiliary seat which are not connected to tricycle wheels for providing an auxiliary simulated tricycle arrangement upon a tricycle for small children.
Abstract: An occupant propelled, tricycle type, recreational vehicle has an inflated flexible bag attached to its outer periphery to provide safe, controlled bumping of similar vehicles or other objects for the amusement of the occupant.
Abstract: A structure for three wheeled vehicles such that when the front handle bars are turned either the frame will be tilted in the direction of the turn or the wheels will be tilted parallely into the direction of the turn by providing in one form a means for rotatably mounting the frame upon a solid rear axle of the vehicle and in a second form by providing means to shift a pair of independent rotatably mounted axles to permit the wheels to be directed into the direction of the turn. In either situation the turning of the handle bars and the front wheel controls the attitude of the frame or the attitude of the wheels such that the unit will more easily corner or turn and thus decrease the possibility of tipping over.
Abstract: A tricycle having a front frame supported with one front wheel and a rear frame supported with two rear wheels, wherein the front frame is connected with the rear frame on the axis longitudinal of the tricycle in the relation that the front frame is capable of being inclined to one side or the other with respect to the rear frame. The tricycle is provided with a torsion bar arranged between the front frame and the rear frame on the axial line so that the torsion bar is subjected to only torsion not to complicated stresses of bending and tension.
