Publication number: 20080185813Abstract: An equipment trailer for initially servicing a petroleum well at a remote site comprising: a solids and fluid collection tank mounted centrally on the trailer; a front and rear flare column support for supporting a gas flare stack having a base an intermediate column and a head; and, a pipe rack positioned along a lateral side of the trailer to removably carry lengths of pipeline therein, said lengths of pipeline used to interconnect the well to the collection tank and thereafter to connect an upper portion of the collection tank to a base of the flare stack. Then in a single trip an operator may haul all of the equipment necessary to initially service the well at the remote site, then after the equipment is then set up, interconnected to the well and used, an operator may return to the remote site to disassemble, reload, and again remove all of the equipment back to a storage/tank cleaning location in a single trip.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2007Publication date: August 7, 2008Inventor: Douglas H. Patent number: 7303365Abstract: The invention is relative to a transport vehicle with a tractor and a trailer that are connected to one another during the transport of cargo by the cargo itself. The invention has the problem of making a transport vehicle available that also makes possible the transport on highways of very bulky material, especially such material that exceeds the usual profile height of underpasses and bridges (freeway bridges, etc.). A transport vehicle for a rotor blade of a wind power system with a tractor and a trailer that are connected to one another during the transport of the rotor blade by the rotor blade and that respectively comprise a holding device and/or receiving device for the rotor blade which holding device and/or receiving device is/are designed in such a manner that it/they permit(s) a rotation of the rotor blade about its longitudinal axis and that a drive for rotating the rotor blade is provided on the tractor and/or the trailer.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2004Date of Patent: December 4, 2007Inventor: Aloys Wobben

Patent number: 7255360Abstract: A rider support assembly for a bicycle, motorcycle or other multi-wheeled vehicle that utilizes a harness to suspend the rider from a support frame that is attached to a ball-type mounting structure. The support harness includes straps or a sling that is secured to the rider's torso and/or legs. A base section of the support frame includes a connecting structure (e.g., a socket) that is movably connects to and supported by the mounting structure such that the support frame can be pivoted in any direction by the rider during operation. A flexible spine extends upward along the rider's back and is secured to the rider's upper body by the support harness. An optional mounting structure pivots relative to the vehicle to facilitate a relatively stiff spine that supports the rider when sitting upright or leaning back.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2005Date of Patent: August 14, 2007Inventor: Patrick T. Patent number: 7112029Abstract: A carrier apparatus and method includes a pair of oppositely positioned carriers. At least one pair of steerable wheels is connected to at least one of the oppositely positioned carriers. A movable neck is connected to each of the oppositely positioned carriers and by compressive engagement to an object to be carried such that neither the movable neck, nor the pairs of steerable wheels, nor the pair of oppositely positioned carriers are underneath the object.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2005Date of Patent: September 26, 2006Inventor: Kenneth L. Patent number: 7040643Abstract: A truck bed extension which is concealed beneath a truck when not being used is disclosed. The truck bed extension comprises a frame and two wheel assemblies for permitting the extension to be pulled behind a truck. During non-use, an elongated member of the truck bed extension is received by a guide channel to facilitate positioning the truck bed extension beneath the truck. When the truck bed extension is not being used the wheel assemblies rotate up under the truck wheel wells and attach thereto. A locking mechanism secures the truck bed extension in place during use. Optional removable side walls attach to the truck bed extension and may alternatively be used as ramps for loading wheeled-vehicles. A hoist slidably engaging side walls of the truck bed permits heavy and cumbersome materials to be loaded and unloaded.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2005Date of Patent: May 9, 2006Inventor: Peter Eliades

Patent number: 6957822Abstract: A tractor unit/trailer combination which is capable of carrying out suspended transport of a heavy duty piece of equipment, with the equipment being coupled at its forward end to the tractor unit and at its rear end to the trailer, and in such a way that the equipment remains suspended above the ground while at the same time forming an articulated connection between the tractor unit and the trailer. The tractor unit has a fifth wheel coupling to which the forward end of the piece of equipment can be coupled. The trailer has an inclined support ramp on which the rear end of the piece of equipment can be supported. A coupling plate is provided which is able to couple the forward end of the piece of equipment to the fifth wheel coupling. Upon uncoupling of the piece of equipment from the tractor unit and the trailer, when it has reached its destination, the trailer can then be coupled directly to the tractor unit so as to form a tractor unit/combination.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2003Date of Patent: October 25, 2005Assignee: Extec Screens and Crushers LimitedInventors: Paul Douglas, Terence Bratton
