  • Patent number: 9144312
Abstract: A portable collapsible stool has at least three legs including separable upper and lower parts releasably formed together by telescopic joint connections and biased into connected engagement by elastomeric cords. Each of the legs is connected to another of the legs intermediate for mutual pivotal movement between a collapsed condition wherein the legs are disposed in generally parallel relation to each other and a set-up condition wherein the legs are spread apart at the upper and lower ends thereof and cross each other intermediate the ends. A seat member with a pivotal upper portion mounted on the upper ends of the legs is disposed in a seating position when the stool is in its set-up condition, and a panel assembly connected to the legs proximate the lower ends thereof provides lateral, anti-splay reinforcement for the legs to increase the carrying capacity of the stool.

  • Patent number: 8967656
Abstract: A mobilization device adapted to be attached to a piece of conveying equipment such as a gurney. The device includes a base having a top and a bottom. The base supports an axle housing. An axle is disposed in the axle housing and extends therefrom. Wheel assemblies are disposed on the axle. The device includes a coupling receiver mounted on the top of the base. The coupling receiver includes a receiving element that can hold a support structure of the conveying equipment and hold the wheels of the conveying equipment off of the ground. The wheel assemblies of the device are used to move the conveying equipment and include tires having a relatively larger height and width to aid in increasing the mobility of the conveying equipment.

  • Patent number: 8485538
Abstract: An auxiliary axle suspension system for a motor vehicle is disclosed wherein a pair of hydraulically operated actuators position and force the auxiliary axle to help support the vehicle. And gas springs are provided that allow the actuators to extend and retract over a wide range of hydraulic operating pressure and thereby allow the auxiliary axle to adjust to a wide range of road grade differences between the auxiliary axle wheels and the wheels of the axles that normally support the vehicle without incurring significant gas and hydraulic pressure fluctuation and while isolating shock forces on the auxiliary axle wheels from the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7823673
Abstract: A variable wheel positioning vehicle has a wheel position changing mechanism and a wheel position control device to change a wheel position of a wheel with respect to a center of gravity of a vehicle body. The wheel position changing mechanism is arranged to move a suspension device along a movement path with respect to the vehicle body and to hold the suspension device at any position along the movement path. The wheel position control device issues a movement command to the wheel position changing mechanism that changes a wheel positioning distance between a center rotation axis of one of the wheels and the center of gravity of the vehicle body as measured in a direction parallel to an acceleration direction of the center of gravity of the vehicle body based on a traveling condition the vehicle.
