Abstract: An autonomous transport robot for transporting a payload is provided and includes a frame with an integral payload support, a transfer arm connected to the frame for autonomous transfer of payload to and from the frame, and a drive section with at least a pair of traction drive wheels astride the drive section, the drive section being connected to the frame. The at least the pair of traction drive wheels have a fully independent suspension coupling each traction drive wheel of the at least the pair of traction drive wheels to the frame, with at least one intervening pivot link between at least one traction drive wheel and the frame configured to maintain a substantially steady state traction contact patch between the at least one traction drive wheel and a rolling surface over rolling surface transients throughout traverse of the at least one traction drive wheel over the rolling surface.

Abstract: A method of operating a construction machine that includes a base, support arms each pivotally coupled to the base, and a plurality of wheel assemblies each coupled to the one of the support arms, the method including, in a transport mode of the construction machine, turning a wheel of each of the wheel assemblies, independently from a wheel of another of the wheel assemblies, to a toe out orientation. The method also includes driving each support arm to a deployed condition of the support arm in an operational mode of the construction machine. The towing system may be assembled, raised, lowered, and disassembled by a single person, if desired. The towing system also comprises a cargo box to store the frame when disassembled. The raising and lowering of the frame is effected by a lifting and lowering mechanism connected with the wheel assemblies, and at least three heights of the frame are achieved by rotation of the lifting and lowering mechanism of the wheel assemblies. The cargo box and the frame can use the wheel assemblies interchangeably.

Abstract: The shopping cart has a foot pedal mechanism to adjust the height of the shopping basket to accommodate different sized users and can lower the cart height automatically with just the push of a button. The shopping basket includes separate detachable smaller bags used for bringing in items from the car. The cart is also designed to be fully collapsible to a height of only six inches and can be easily loaded into the rear trunk space of a car or SUV. The entire basket is also both collapsible and expandable in size and can also be detached from the cart easily and includes at least two carrying handles.

Abstract: A system and method for supporting and rotating an axle of an overhead rolling door assembly while replacing a counterbalance spring. A support stand is provided. The support stand is positioned under the overhead door assembly. The overhead door assembly is disassembled enough to expose its main axle. The support stand is adjusted in height to engage the main axle so that the support stand holds the main axle at an elevated position. The broken counterbalance spring is replaced. The main axle is the reinstalled into the overhead door assembly. A pulley wheel is then attached to the main axle. The pulley wheel is turned by winding a cable around the pulley wheel and then unwinding the cable with a winch. This rotates the main axle with the torque needed to properly pre-tension the replacement spring.

Abstract: A multi-wheeled base for a mobile cart includes one or more swiveling, optionally locking, caster wheels and one or more non-swiveling traction wheels to improve the maneuverability of the cart by making it easier to steer and stop. The traction wheels may be manually-engaged traction wheels, which may be operated by a cam and lever. The traction wheels may also be automatically-engaged traction wheels operated by a motor and a threaded shaft, and activated by a motion-sensitive sensor or by an on/off electrical switch or button. The traction wheels are preferably in contact with the floor when the mobile cart is moving, and raised above the surface of the floor when the cart is stationary.

Abstract: This application discloses a number of fold flat, collapsible, stowable wheel assemblies for wheeled carriers including but not limited to strollers, jogging strollers, flat carts, dollies, trolleys, wagons and carts. The application discloses novel methods to selectively fixate the wheel/tire position, to stow and fold flat, fixed, swivel and caster wheels so that the wheels/tires fold flat and generally parallel with the floor/base/frame of the device providing for a thin stowed profile. Also, one innovation provides for a flat cart and all wheels fold flat to the underside and side elevational profile of the carrier device. Other innovations relate to methods to manufacture and provide for fold flat caster or swivel wheels. One embodiment provides for a baby jogging stroller forward wheel/tire that is a selectively fixed, or becomes a swivel wheel, which quickly and easily may be folded flat along the jogger frame, without removing the wheel.

The apparatus further comprises rollers for translating the cask, the rollers adapted to move between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein when the rollers are in the retracted position, the rollers do not contact a ground surface. The apparatus additionally supports the storage cask during spent nuclear fuel transfer procedures.
Abstract: An adaptable mobility aid device is disclosed that has length-adjustable front and rear legs, a handle, and a knee support platform coupled to the legs and the handle, the legs being adjustable within a range of lengths suitable to straddle steps for ascending and descending stairways, as well as to function on the level, or on a ramp. The lengths of the legs can be adjusted in tandem via single-hand operability of an adjustment mechanism. The knee support platform provides support for an impaired lower leg of a user, not requiring the leg to contact the stairs, and also not requiring the leg to be held mid-air in a hopping motion. The handle enables one-handed use of the adaptable mobility aid device. In some embodiments, spring loaded pins or a pull bar to activate the pins, enable the single-hand operability of the adjustment mechanism.

The counterweight assembly has a cavity configured and arranged to receive at least one weight. The extension member has a first end and a second end. The first end is pivotally connected to the counterweight assembly. The base is connected to the second end of the extension member and includes a wheel and at least one anchorage point. The base is pivotable about the counterweight assembly on the wheel to position the at least one anchorage point in a desired location.

Abstract: A diver's station and umbilical cart neatly stores the umbilical cord and other various items used in hookah diving and has a frame made from various bars of aluminum stock. A set of wheels is pivotally attached to one end of the frame while a handle is attached to an opposing end. A seat is telescoping attached to the frame proximate the wheels. A first set of legs extends upwardly from the frame proximate the handle and has a first tray there atop, while a second set of legs extends upwardly from the frame between the first legs and the seat and has a second tray there atop. A telescoping post extends upwardly from the frame and passes through the second tray, the post having a T-brace there atop.

Abstract: An improved shopping cart having retractable legs is provided that allows the cart to be loaded into a vehicle while contents remain in the shopping cart basket.
Abstract: An adaptable mobility aid device is disclosed that has length-adjustable front and rear legs, a handle, and a knee support platform coupled to the legs and the handle, the legs being adjustable within a range of lengths suitable to straddle steps for ascending and descending stairways, as well as to function on the level, or on a ramp. The lengths of the legs can be adjusted in tandem via single-hand operability of an adjustment mechanism. The knee support platform provides support for an impaired lower leg of a user, not requiring the leg to contact the stairs, and also not requiring the leg to be held mid-air in a hopping motion. The handle enables one-handed use of the adaptable mobility aid device. In some embodiments, spring loaded pins or a pull bar to activate the pins, enable the single-hand operability of the adjustment mechanism.
