    Abstract: An energy-absorbing trailer hitch assembly is provided that includes a receiver tube and an insertion tube. The receiver tube is typically fixedly attached to a motor vehicle and has a set of apertures that affords for a pin to pass therethrough. The tube also has a set of slots adjacent to the apertures, with protrusions between each aperture and its adjacent slot. The insertion tube serves as a trailer hitch and has a set of apertures that align with the set of apertures in the receiver tube. Placement of the insertion tube within the receiver tube affords for a pin to pass through and be held within said apertures. In this manner a trailer may be attached to the trailer hitch and pulled by the motor vehicle. When the trailer is impacted, for example by a rear-end collision, deformation of the pin and/or the protrusions of the receiver tube allow the pin to travel in a forward direction, thereby absorbing energy from the collision.

    Abstract: A towing apparatus for releasable securement between a wheel, or wheel gear, or wheel support structure, of an object-to-be-towed and a towing vehicle. A hitch connection is releasably secured to an elongated, resiliently bendable draft member at one end, and to an adjustable torque engaging member at the other end. A breakaway sleeve is secured to the bendable draft member in proximity to the torque engaging member. A breakaway support member having upper and lower bracing bars is pivotally secured to the breakaway sleeve, to provide arcuate travel of the bendable draft member. Limit stops extend between braces, to limit the arcuate travel of the bendable draft member to not more than 30 degrees. An expandable yoke is secured to the upper and lower bracing bars to provide an apparatus to releasably secure the towing apparatus to the object-to-be-towed.

Movement of the slide block along the guide is retarded by a frictional brake pad and a selectively operable lever is provided to retract the guide member and slide block away from the hitch ball to facilitate coupling and uncoupling.

    Abstract: A foldable stroller for children is disclosed having a back formed by several longitudinal rigid and padded portions which are articulated together by means of folds. Two supporting divider portions which articulatedly connect the back supports with the frame, permit two degrees of inclination for the back. The stroller is strengthened by the employment of front and rear, articulated crossed rods. The folding control of the stroller is effected by a pair of cross pieces split into two articulated sections and a common control bar. The cross pieces are placed between the side supports of the back. When unfolded, the cross pieces support the back. The control bar, when raised, operates to fold the stroller.
