With Receptacle Body (e.g., Wheelbarrow) Patents (Class 280/47.31)
  • Patent number: 10322736
Abstract: A wheelbarrow bracket assembly for improving the performance of a wheelbarrow includes a wheelbarrow that has a bucket, a pair of handles, a pair of supports each extending between a respective one of the handles and the bucket, and a wheel that is rotatably coupled between the handles. A bracket is coupled between each of the supports. The bracket inhibits each of the handles from moving laterally away from the wheel. Thus, a nose piece that extends between the handles may be removed from the wheelbarrow. In this way the wheelbarrow may be rolled along the ground without having the nose piece engaging the ground and tipping the wheelbarrow.

  • Patent number: 9415785
Abstract: The invention is a combination wheelbarrow and step stool. The invention includes a wheeled cart having a container with an open top and a set of inverted steps molded into the rear wall of the container. The wheeled cart operates in a hauling position for hauling materials and in a stool position for affording elevation above level ground. In the hauling position, the open top faces upward allowing material to be placed in the container. In the stool position, the container is flipped upside down so that the open top faces the level ground and the inverted steps form an ascending step stool.

Abstract: A wheel for a wheelbarrow wherein the wheel body forms wide spokes is provided. The spokes are formed by openings between the hub and the rim in the bodies that form the wheel. While such spokes are known, the openings that create the spokes provide additional points of entry for debris and water into the enclosed space. Thus, a sealed, fragmented seam coupling the wheel bodies is further provided.

Abstract: An adjustable support device (10) for a structure, including an arcuate support bar (26) terminating in feet (28) for engagement with a ground surface. Two spaced apart locking mechanisms (30) are pivotally connected to the structure. The arcuate support bar (26) extends between engagement rods (36a, 36b) of the locking mechanisms (30). The locking mechanisms (30) are pivotally moveable between a first position, in which a stop member (38) prevents further pivotal movement in one direction such that the engagement rods (36a, 36b) are positioned to allow the arcuate support bar (26) to slide freely over the engagement rods (36a, 36b), and a second position, when weight is applied to the locking mechanisms (30). In the second position, the engagement rods (36a, 36b) lock against the arcuate support bar (26) to prevent sliding movement there through for supporting the structure in a required orientation.
