  • Publication number: 20030020261
Abstract: A dolly for transporting multiple containers. The dolly is provided with a plurality of casters which allow it to spin on its footprint. Supports, each of which can carry a container, are hinged together allowing the dolly to flex when encountering alterations in flooring level. Also provided are large side wheels which reduce the force necessary to push the dolly over a bump or onto a floor which is at a higher elevation. When one support is not carrying a container, the support can be rotated with the hinge to a point at which it is approximately perpendicular to the adjacent support and thereby approximately vertical to the floor. Rotating one support to an approximately vertical position shortens the dolly footprint and aids in storage. Moreover, a support which is rotated to an approximately vertical position can be temporarily maintained in that position by a lock.

  • Patent number: 6488293
Abstract: A non-corrosive dolly for storing containment drums having contained therein material which is potentially hazardous to the environment if spilled or leaked. Components of the dolly form a containment cavity for capturing and containing any spilled or leaked material. A handle, for conveniently moving the dolly and stored drum, is slidably engageable with a base of the dolly when oriented vertically downward, locked to the dolly when in position for use, and restrained for self-storing when oriented vertically upward.

Abstract: A multi-diameter container dolly includes an outer ring and a pair of support members, substantially perpendicular to each other that diametrically span the outer ring. The support members are configured to provide a series of nested support surfaces for containers of varying diameters. Each support member has a series of steps yielding support surfaces of progressively smaller diameters relative to the center of the outer ring. Casters are provided at the end of each support member for ease in maneuvering the dolly. A tow strap is also provided for moving the dolly.

  • Patent number: 6419246
Abstract: A dolly facilitating the transport of a cylindrical bucket or can between two sites includes a wheeled base comprising a frame having a plurality of elongated members which are joined together in a planar, spoke-like arrangement so that the end portions of the members are directed generally outwardly of a center and a plurality of double-wheeled casters which are pivotally attached to the ends of the members for supporting the spoke-like arrangement of the frame in a substantially horizontal orientation for wheeled movement across a supporting surface. A retaining ring is supportedly attached upon the spoke-like arrangement for accepting a bucket inserted bottom-end first therein and for preventing a lateral shifting of the bucket across the frame. In addition, an elongated handle is attached to the frame so that an upper end extends generally upwardly from the frame in a substantially vertically condition and so that the handle is maintained in. the substantially vertical condition.

  • Patent number: 6409188
Abstract: A trailer hitch mounted carrying apparatus for golf bag pull carts, golf bags, or golf bags mounted on pull carts. A generally cylindrical carrier is mounted to a trailer hitch connection. The cylindrical carrier is rigid and with a slot cut in it. A folded golf bag pull cart may be mounted within the carrier with the wheels and handle outside of the carrier, either with or without a golf bag mounted on the pull cart. Alternatively, a golf bag may be mounted within the carrier. The carrier is equipped with a lockable cover to secure the contents, whether a golf bag filled with clubs or a golf bag and pull cart within the carrier. The carrier may be mounted to either a female trailer hitch on the rear of a vehicle or a bar-type trailer hitch on the rear of a vehicle. The carrier may be equipped with added wheels on the carrier so that the carrier may be utilized for wheeled movement, including towing behind a bicycle.

  • Patent number: 6386559
Abstract: An apparatus for securing and transporting a tank is disclosed, which includes a carrier for supporting the tank. The carrier includes a base member for resting the tank thereon, and the base member has a forward portion and a rearward portion. The carrier further includes a back member mounted on the base member. The back member has a mounting end mounted to the base member and a handle end opposite the mounting end. The back member is pivotally coupled to the base member such that the base member is pivotable between a stored position with the base member located adjacent to the back member and a deployed position with the base member located substantially perpendicular to the back member. A securing band is provided for securing the tank to the carrier, and the securing band extends between the base member and the back member. A saddle member is provided for saddling the tank when the tank rests on the base member.
