  • Patent number: 6328320
Abstract: A waste container has an axle assembly comprising an axle with opposing axle end caps adapted to mount the wheels of the waste container. The axle comprises a metal rod encapsulated in plastic. An annular axle groove is formed near the ends of the axle in the encapsulating plastic. The metal rod provides the necessary strength for the axle and the encapsulating plastic protects the rod from corrosion while permitting the formation of the annular axle grooves used for mounting the axle to the wheel. The axle can easily be injection molded, reducing the cost and manufacturing time of prior axles while still providing corrosion protection.

  • Patent number: 6315310
Abstract: A portable vessel receptacle which includes a combination of a frame, preferably a wheeled frame supporting a bucket container or vessel. The vessel is a generally cylindrical open top receiver having a lifting handle, and optionally being provided with a fabric tool carrying cowl. The lower portion of the bucket is releasably secured to the frame by means of a positionally adjustable clamping pad along with a pair of arcuately spaced radially inwardly extending gussets which are secured to the frame, thereby facilitating an additional lifting mechanism for the entire assembly. For added stability, the top portion of the bucket or vessel is reliably releasably secured to the frame by means of a “J” hook or claw which is adjustably positioned on an upright or vertical handle, with the claw engaging and restraining the vessel at a point adjacent the upper edge thereof, preferably being engaged with the handle receiving projections on the outer surface of the bucket.

  • Patent number: 6209891
Abstract: A movable workseat cart assembly for adapting a bucket-type container to be used as a seat with an accompanying equipment tray for a workman. The assembly includes a unitary body member having a receptacle for a bucket, a partitioned equipment retainer tray surrounding the bucket receptacle, a peripheral skirt surrounding the equipment tray, and swivel wheel assemblies that are positioned between the peripheral skirt and the bucket receptacle. The mentioned elements of the overall assembly are positioned relative to each other so as to maintain a low center of gravity, and to allow the lower edge of the skirt to sweep away debris that might otherwise become lodged under and damage the bottom of the bucket receptacle. The bucket receptacle and the peripheral skirt are connected to each other by an integral spanning web extending between them.

  • Patent number: RE37350
Abstract: The present invention includes a dolly with an upwardly extending edge about 3 to 5 inches high, that generally conforms to the size of a standard five gallon bucket. The purpose of the invention is to be able to push around whatever materials one is working with, without having to pick the bucket up to move it. The upwardly extending edge on the dolly prevents the bucket from tipping as it is being pushed or pulled. Also, additional wheels can be added to distribute the weight load more evenly, and the wheels can be raised or lowered to lower the center of gravity, to help avoid tipping of the bucket within the dolly. The dolly can be used by a person sealing a driveway with a five gallon pail bucket. Painters or spacklers can also benefit from the bucket dolly. Spacklers can stack pails on top of each other as they normally do so that they can reach into the uppermost pail and move their materials around without reaching down and getting down out of their elevated stilts or scaffolds.
