The face sheet defines first and second major faces and includes printed indicia on the first major face. The printed indicia being arranged to indicate an attempted delivery. The reusable adhesive laminate includes a reusable adhesive and a removable ply. The reusable adhesive and the removable ply are configured such that the reusable adhesive retains its properties of adhesion following removal of the removable ply therefrom. The laminating adhesive is interposed between the liner ply and the face sheet so as to secure the liner ply to the second major face of the face sheet. The laminating adhesive is further interposed between the reusable adhesive laminate and the face sheet so as to secure the reusable adhesive laminate to the second major face of the face sheet.

Abstract: A new form of printed material, referred to herein as a booksert, provides printed information concerning commercial products, such as drug products and the like. The booksert is preferably formed from a single sheet of material that is printed, folded, glued and trimmed to form a multi-page booksert. The booksert can also include a removable insert.

Abstract: A continuous process and apparatus are disclosed for applying an adhesive coating to one surface and a release coating to an opposite surface of sheets of previously embossed and optionally decoratively printed paper, and for drying the sheets and then stacking them for processing into individual pads of embossed, self-stick, removable sheets of notepaper. Individual sheets of embossed paper are fed onto a conveyor system, and the feed and conveyor speeds are regulated so that the sheets are in slightly overlapping relationship to form an artificial web as the sheets pass continuously through release coating and adhesive coating subassemblies which continuously apply release and adhesive coatings to opposite sides of the web. Conveyor speeds downstream of the coating subassemblies are regulated to separate the web into its individual coated and embossed sheets as they pass through a dryer.

Abstract: In a pocket of flexible sheet material comprising: a) a plurality of holes placed adjacent at least one edge of said pocket and adapted for releasable engagement with means capable of penetrating said holes, the main novel feature is b) that for each hole, a slit extends from said edge into the hole, each slit being rectilinear and opening tangentially into the hole concerned at the part of said hole lying most distant from said edge, the region adjacent said edge and in which said holes are formed being reinforced. With this arrangement, the pocket can be inserted into and removed from a loose-leaf ring binder without opening the rings by carrying out a simple procedure, at the same time ensuring that the pocket will not be pulled out inadvertingly, such as by weight of heavy documents in the pocket. It is also possible to use the pocket in a ring binder in which the rings are not adapted to be opened.

Abstract: The composite label form includes two sections both of which is to receive printed information and one which carries various labels. The label section includes a removable prescription label in a front ply which upon removal pulls a carrier section or insert from a back ply which, in turn, with the prescription label carries a plurality of information labels from the front ply. The prescription label can then be peeled from the carrier section or insert and applied to a prescription vial. One or more of the information labels may also be peeled from the carrier insert and applied to the prescription vial.

Abstract: An assembly for mailing an article requiring delivery by a special service and a method and system for imaging the same are provided. The assembly includes a generic mailing label having a back side adhesively and detachably affixed to a backing sheet. The label may be imaged with all of the information necessary to serve as one of many types of special service mailing labels. Removal of the label from the associated backing sheet allows the label to be permanently affixed to a mailpiece. Upon delivery of the mailpiece, a return receipt postcard portion of the label may be removed and forwarded to the sender of the mailpiece as a return receipt. A method and system for the automatic imaging of such mailing label are also provided wherein the sender of the mailpiece may obtain a special service mailing label from a vending-type machine upon providing all of the required information for the desired special mailing service.

Abstract: A two part identifying and instructional booklet having a label part and a booklet part. The front of the label has a small unvarnished region. The booklet is folded and glued closed with the free edges secured interiorly. An adhesive is printed onto the unvarnished region of the label and the folded booklet is adhered to the unvarnished region. The booklet has a tab portion to facilitate opening of the book during use. The tab portion faces the identifying portion of the label which extends longitudinally outwardly from the unvarnished region. The label may be placed onto a cylindrical container and bent in the longitudinal direction whereby the spine and folds of the booklet remain straight, flat and parallel to each other.

Two or more adhesive-backed removable labels are secured to the bottom surface of the business card, and each of these labels has the business card identification information printed on it. The labels may be peeled off and placed, for example, in one's personal planner, file, or other convenient location. The card may be a traditional flat style, or a tent style. The card may also include a release liner beneath the removable labels, the release liner also optionally including additional printed information.

Abstract: A system for folding a sheet of material is provided. Creases are formed in the sheet representing fold lines for the sheet. A plurality of first indicia markings are provided on the sheet with each first marking being positioned so as to align with a respective one of a plurality of second indicia markings when the sheet is correctly folded along the crease lines. In an embodiment, the sheet size is a multiple of 2 inches by 3.5 inches to allow the sheet to be folded into a business card size which will readily fit into a pocket, purse or a wallet. In an embodiment, the sheet is folded so as to have a final folded size of no greater than 20 square inches. To permit an easy and full viewing of any particular segment of information printed on the sheet, the sheet is folded by a plurality of lateral and longitudinal folds to provide a plurality of panels bounded by fold lines. Discrete segments of information are printed on the panels.

Abstract: Methods of forming outserts used to provide printed information to the users and purchasers of pharmaceutical products in which a sheet of paper is folded a number of times in a direction parallel to a first direction and then folded a number of times in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Abstract: The invention relate to a book publishing kit for children the kit includes two templates and a number of sheets. The sheets include a cover on which a cover template is placed with a cut out preferably rectangular area in which a drawing can be made. Sheets are provided for internal book pages and another template is placed on each of these pages with a cut out preferably rectangular opening of a different sizing and centering with respect to the page than that of the cover sheet for illustration purposes. The bottom of each page is reserved for printing text of up to fifteen words in length. Separate sheets are provided with boxes in which text for the pages can be written and the page number indicated within a smaller box of each respective text box.The sheets are sent to the publisher in a self addressed envelope with the order form filled out indicating whether the child's spelling should be corrected. The kit includes washable markers for the illustrations.

Abstract: An assembly for mailing an article requiring special services and a method for mailing same are provided. The assembly includes a single sheet constructed in such a way that one portion of the sheet provides a label and the other portion provides a return postcard or other special service form for attachment to an envelope in its assembled position. The return postcard is integrally formed and removably attached such that the return postcard remains attached to the envelope until received by the addressee, at which time the return postcard may be removed. The assembly is designed to incorporate a form into the return postcard to simplify preparation of the mailpiece for delivery by the special service. Further, removably attached to the return postcard is a special service designator section that may be removed and applied to the mailpiece to aid in the delivery of the mailpiece.

Each note also has an adhesive sheet secured along the edge of the leaf. This adhesive sheet has (a) an overlay section overlaying part of the leaf, and (b) a narrowed extension section extending away from the leaf in an extension direction. This extension section is adapted to be secured to the object.

Abstract: A wallet size card book which has been adapted to hold a card having the dimensions of a conventional credit card, and is particularly designed to be carried in the credit card compartment of a wallet or similar size compartment holder. The use of an adhesive strip extending along the marginal edges between a first and second leaf in the card book makes it possible to create a properly formed pocket for holding and protecting the card. The preferred adhesives for the strip include latexes of polyvinyl ethylene, polyvinyl acetate, other acrylics, and copolymers thereof. The preferred adhesive is a polyvinyl acetate copolymer latex having a glass transition temperature (Tg) approximately room temperature or below.

The blank has a contiguous pressure adhesive backed label section and may also have a larger plain paper section separated from the label section by a perforation line. The label section is comprised of a plurality of adhesive backed labels and a backing sheet, including a main label portion and at least one smaller auxiliary label. A preferred blank comprises a plurality of auxiliary labels. In use, at least one, but preferably not all, of the auxiliary labels on such a preferred blank are simultaneously removed from the backing sheet with the main label portion. Any auxiliary label(s) simultaneously removed with the main label but not printed upon are readily separated from the main label.

The booklet includes an outer piece including a top panel and a bottom panel joined by an outer fold, an inner piece disposed between the top and bottom panels having a pair of interior panels joined by an inner fold, attaching means coupling the outer and inner pieces to one another at the outer and inner folds, and a tear line formed in the bottom panel adjacent the outer fold. Abstract: With a self adhesive base, the informational brochure can be affixed to direct mail, company literature, etc as well as to the back of a business card. An innovative piece designed with the intention of allowing the user to attach the informational brochure to the back of a standard size business card. This provides a very easy and flexible means of storing product or corporate information as well as keeping it organized without taking up much space. You simply peel off the adhesive label on the back of the informational device and attach it to any existing business card. The informational device folds down to a size of just 17/8".times.33/8" and contains up to nine panels or individual pages of four color information.

Abstract: A mailing label and system and method for preparing the same is provided. The mailing labels are provided on a continuous perforated strip, where the perforations define unitary fields of labels, including at least a label for an intended recipient's address and a label for bearing a postal service approved postage indicia, to be used on a single item to be mailed. The strip is adapted for use with a computer driven printer capable of printing the recipient's address, the postage indicia and other data relating to the item to be mailed on the labels within a given unitary field. The system and method according to the invention provide for the ability to prepare the aforementioned mailing labels by effectively combining the functions of a postage meter with a system for preparing mailing labels.

Abstract: The present invention provides for the use of contact adhesives to secure separate sheets of multiple ply documents together during the printing and collating process to form finished documents, such as integrated letters and envelopes, billing statements, invoices, etc. The contact adhesive patterns are alternatingly offset or staggered on facing surfaces of adjacent sheets, either in a continuous feed interfolded stack or in a stack of separate sheets. In this manner, the adjacent sheets remain free of one another, as the contact adhesive disposed on each facing surface does not come in contact. Yet, the adhesive pattern on every other sheet is identical, to allow corresponding sheets from another like stack to be glued to those of the first stack. Different staggered adhesive arrays may be provided, to allow the assembly of documents having various numbers of plies therein, and for the forming and assembly of address labels to properly configured envelopes, etc.

The card is integrally formed with and selectively detachable from the card carrier and is provided with an encodable magnetic strip extending transversely across the portion of the card projecting from the card carrier whereby the card may be swiped through an encoding device without removing the card from the card carrier.

Abstract: A mailing assembly for use in connection with non-domestic delivery of a mailpiece wherein the sender of the mailpiece is required to complete a sender's declaration. The assembly includes a mailing label, a receipt card and a backing sheet. The mailing label and receipt card are detachably connected to each other and form the entirety of the complete mailing form. Such form is, in turn, adhesively connected to the backing sheet having approximately the same size and shape as the form. An adhesive layer is only provided between the mailing label and the backing sheet and not between the receipt card and the backing sheet. The sender provides all the necessary information on the mailing label relating to the contents of the mailpiece being delivered. Abstract: An improved wallet size card book which has been adapted to hold a card having the dimensions of a conventional credit card, and is particularly designed to be carried in the credit card compartment of a wallet or similar size compartment holder. The card book comprises: a) a cover having a fold which divides the cover into a front cover panel and a rear cover panel; b) a plurality of leaves attached along one marginal edge at the fold to form pages, each of the leaves and the front and rear cover panels being coextensive; c) a flood coated adhesive sealing the front surface of the first leaf to the inner surface of the front cover panel; d) an adhesive strip extending along at least two adjacent edges of the rear surface of the first leaf; and e) a pocket formed by the front surface of the first leaf being sealed to the inner surface of the front cover panel and a second leaf being sealed to the first leaf along the two adjacent edges by the adhesive strip.

Abstract: Methods of forming outserts used to provide printed information to the users and purchasers of pharmaceutical products in which a sheet of paper is folded a number of times in a direction parallel to a first direction and then folded a number of times in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The folds in the second direction are made to produce an outsert having no unfolded exterior sheet edges which lie in a direction parallel to the second direction.

Abstract: A folded sheet article (20) comprises a sheet (22) of material having mutually transverse sets of concertina folds (24, 26) and two diagonally opposite stiff portions (28, 30) at respective corner segments (32, 34) of the sheet (as disclosed in the inventor's prior U.S. Pat. No. 5,156,898) and has a pocket (40) at at least one of the segments (32, 34). Pocket (40) may be formed separately, may comprise the stiff portion (28), which may be folded back onto itself to form the pocket (40), or may (alone or together with said portion (28)) be formed from the sheet (22). The stiffening may be provided by a removable card (58) in pocket 40). Such card (58) may bear coded information (60) related to information (62) borne by sheet (22).
