  • Patent number: 5887899
Abstract: A card has a printed face, a back, and a fold line which divides the card into a main portion and a flap which is foldable over the fold line so that the back of the flap is flush with the back of the main portion and the face of the card has the shape and appearance of a conventional business card. An adhesive layer is disposed on the back of the card so that with the flap open the adhesive may be exposed and the card removably adhered to a smooth vertical surface, juxtaposing the face of the flap and an auxiliary message printed upon the same with the face of the main portion. Removal of the card from the surface and either folding of the flap or separation of the same from the main portion converts the card back to one which has a face that has the shape and appearance of a conventional business card.

  • Patent number: 5491121
Abstract: An array of color-coded papers that can be collected and recycled with white paper without separation. The sheets are individually color-coded with a printing ink including an oil-based vehicle component and a dye-free pigment component that is dispersible in a surfactant-water mix used to recycle the paper. Preferably, the color code is on a marginal area, with the image area comprising the remainder of the sheets. The invention also relates to multi-part business form sets using an array of such sheets, arranged so that each sheet is distinguishable from another sheet in the form set by the color code.

  • Patent number: 5482753
Abstract: A business form is particularly useful to provide labels applied to appliances, as well as appliance registration information on a paper substrate associated with the labels. A common substrate mounts a repositional adhesive label and a permanent (piggyback) adhesive label while at the same time providing appliance registration information. The substrate and the labels may be variable imaged at the same time, as with a common appliance ID number. The removable adhesive label preferably has indicia indicating appliance energy costs, while the permanent adhesive label (of paper, plastic film or metal foil) takes the place of a typically metal appliance ID tag. A release material is preferably spot coated on the top surface of the substrate, and the repositional adhesive label is applied over the release material spot coat.

  • Patent number: 5449538
Abstract: A label/leaflet assembly includes a support web with a release coating on which is placed an adhesive label with a leaflet secured on its front face. The leaflet has a front cover one end of which extends beyond the underlying panels of the leaflets. This end of the leaflet has a first part which is permanently joined to the main body of the front cover and which is releasably and re-sealably adherent to the label, and a second part which is permanently secured by an adhesive to the label and is connected to the first part and/or the main body of the front cover along one or more tear lines. Until opened the leaflet is held firmly sealed by the second part. When opened the leaflet is re-sealable, but the torn tear lines show that the leaflet has been opened. The assembly is thus tamper-evident.
