Patent number: 10415827Abstract: An exhaust adapter secures an exhaust tube relative to an exhaust pipe. The exhaust adapter is formed to have an annular shape enclosing a through hole, and is mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust tube and on the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust pipe by inserting the exhaust tube into the through hole. When the exhaust adapter is being fitted on the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust tube, the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust adapter presses the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust tube, and when the exhaust adapter is being fitted on the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust pipe, the outer peripheral surface of the exhaust adapter presses the inner peripheral surface of the exhaust pipe.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2017Date of Patent: September 17, 2019Assignee: NORITZ CORPORATIONInventors: Takanori Nagano, Koji Shimomura

Publication number: 20110008196Abstract: An adapter, containing at least an inlet portion, an outlet portion, and a transition portion. The inlet portion, the outlet portion and the transition portion are integrally formed, and the transition portion bends upwards whereby staggering the inlet portion and the outlet portion. The adapter is easy to assemble and disassemble, which makes it easy to connect the blower to an external equipment. Moreover, the adapter is integrally formed, features simple structure and is convenient to cast, all of which reduces time for production and mould opening, and thus decreases production cost.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 18, 2010Publication date: January 13, 2011Applicant: ZHONGSHAN BROAD-OCEAN MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventor: Xiang LIU

Patent number: 6830065Abstract: The duct connector of the present invention preferably has a rectangular inlet and a round outlet. An intermediate passage is located between the rectangular inlet and the round outlet. Preferably, the intermediate passage provides a smooth transition that is substantially free from steps, sharp corners, breaks or facets, and acts to smoothly funnel airflow from the rectangular inlet to the round outlet. The intermediate passage preferably includes transitional surfaces that connect adjacent walls of the duct. Each transitional surface preferably provides a single smooth continuously curved surface connecting a side wall and an adjacent end wall along the intermediate passage. The smooth transition of the intermediate passage and the use of transitional surfaces as just described reduces turbulence and noise within the duct connector and results in greater fan or blower efficiency.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2002Date of Patent: December 14, 2004Assignee: Broan-NuTone LLCInventors: Richard R. Patent number: 6543489Abstract: A unitary annular reduction duct suitable for joining pipes comprising an annular entrance collar of a given diameter, a corrugated and gradually inwardly tapered reduction portion that is contiguous with the collar section and a corrugated and substantially vertical annular exit portion contiguous with the reduction portion whereby the reduction portion has a diameter less than the collar section. The reduction duct may also be used to join pipes of different shapes.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2002Date of Patent: April 8, 2003Assignee: Building Materials Investment CorporationInventors: Clair A. Patent number: 6371526Abstract: The invention relates to a quick cone (1) for pipe assemblies for conducting fiber suspensions wherein the quick cone provides a transition from a pipe (8) with a greater diameter to a pipe (9) with a smaller diameter as seen in the flow direction of the fiber suspension. The invention is characterized therein that the quick cone (1) has a pipe (2) wherein the pipe (2) has a major portion of its axial extension concentrically enclosed by a jacket (3) that includes a conical jacket portion (4) that is shaped as a cut cone and a cylindrical connection segment (5) where a thicker end of the conical jacket portion (4) is in engagement with the cylindrical connection segment (5) that has substantially the same diameter as the larger diameter pipe (8) and the pipe (2) has substantially the same diameter as the smaller diameter pipe (9) and wherein the more pointed end of the jacket portion (4) is tightly attached to the pipe (2).Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2000Date of Patent: April 16, 2002Assignee: Kvaerner Pulping ABInventor: Rolf Ekholm
